THE GLASS IS FULL! The other half has air in it! ^^

It varies. Some days, an optimist, some days a Pessimist, some days I look at life with actual Logic and aruge with myself in my head when really I should be listening to whoever is talking to me.

I'm an optimist, but this state of being can easily be broken by the slightest bit of bad news.

...I guess I'm kind of an fragile optimist.

Expect the worst, always prepare for it.
Never get your hopes up, it prevents let downs. When things go right it makes it a nice surprise.
No one does things out of the good of their hearts, there is always a hidden agenda, even if it is just them wanting to feel good about themselves.

Yeah I'm cynical and pessimistic. It doesn't mean I'm never happy, it just means I don't get all excited about stuff since I know something will go wrong.

I'm a realist, and I'm pretty optomistic about the way life is. It's not "realistic" to think that life is nothing but a shithole.

Optimist, I doubt pessimism would ever work for me, it would just end badly.

Jokes aside, I love being optimistic, I'm happy and cheerful and like you, OP, I have the general idea that things work themselves out. I still deal with them, but it works itself out.

I expect the worst because I think if I think for the best it works the opposite to annoy me.

Overall, pessimism is too destructive
Optimism can lead to being delusional. I agree with your statement, however. Pessimism can be destructive when taken to an extreme.

OT: I'm a realist. Given today's world, I tend to lean towards pessimism, but understand that too much pessimism is a bad thing.

Prediction: People on this site think it's cool to be a pessimist or a nihilist. Because liking anything in life is for losers.

For myself, I'm actually an optimist. I think generally as long as your willing to put the work in, things will work out. Maybe not the way you hoped, and maybe not the best way they could, but eventually they will work out.

I'm also unfortunately a bit too much of a realist, which is why my views are so tempered.

I'm a bit of a pessimist i expect shit to happen but i get on with it. If so called shit does not happen I am pleasantly suprised. A bit like something of yahtzee if I remember correctly.

Pessimist, no question about it.

I always take a negative stance to things. At least 90% of the time.
It's 100% of the time if my mood is about 25% bad or worse. The other 75% there's still a 50% chance some random thing gets me down. Chance of a good day AND being positive... You do the math.

Pessimism. Something bad happens, low expectations anyway and if something good happens, the feeling is more intense. And it's more realistic anyway.
