Elves obviously. I be pretty cool looking, be a great archer and all of the elven women are extremely beautiful. Sure you get pointy ears but you could always wear a hat.

The plural spelling is Dwarves. not "Dwarfs"
You forgot to mention that all Elves are pretentious jerkwads, and that Dwarves are the bet damn smiths anywheres.
Also; forgot to mention how damn androgynous Elves are. It's like a race made of nothing but hipsters.

Dwarves definately... elves just seem arrogant and boring to me. At least if you're a dwarf you can have more fun

Uh, dwarves are cool too. Usually I pretend to care about what a dwarf means stat-wise, but then throw all that aside when I remember play a female dwarf with a legitimate beard and no one will question it.
Are we only talking about LotR? Dwarves, still. The Hobbit reminded me that elves can't get anything done.

OH cock I meant to vote for Dwarves and voted for Elves, putting them (currently) one vote ahead.

Well seeing as this is a LOTR based poll, I suppose I'd say elves, because they prove themselves to not only be the most skilled archers, but have strong frontline warriors (see human armies + elvish armies marching on Mordor the first time). But in other media I like different races for different classes, i.e. Orc warrior, Elf paladin, Dwarf hunter etc.
Actually only Tolkein used Dwarves as the plural, although it's been adopted into modern literature. In old stories the plural is DwarfsSouplex said:
