Killing Hitler was literally like killing God to the Nazi party. As an eight year student of World War Two germany social and politics, I can say that without irony.

I bet many radical terrorist cells aren't even aware/ don't even care that Osama is dead.

Well the death of Bin Laden might be a big thing in the United State, because the administration and the media there mader him "the main bad guy". But all in all I do not think he was that important for Al Kaida or other terror organisations, neither do I think they are really crippled by his death.

Said that, I do not think this is compareable to the news of Hitlers death, that news does not only mark the death of Hitler, but the end of the biggest military conflict in human history (at least in Europe, but without any allies the defeat of Japan was just a matter of time)

Alltogether not that big news.

regards, Sebastian

I don't know, the Assassination of Kennedy, Cuba Crisis, Moon Landings and the Berlin Wall falling were pretty big too.

Or are you just thinking about people who died?
Just talking about people that died. I agree those three easily overshadow Osama.
And the tsunamis and the earthquakes that have killed ten's of thousands....

Oh, i just remembered that all of thsoe things happened in South-East Asia so
people in the West dont have to really think much about those things do they.

So yeah, people are making this into a bigger story than it actually is.
Plus, i dont actually believe that they killed him. If they did, why didnt they just bury
him in the city they found him instead of taking him all the way from one end of the country to the other, put the body on a boat and the bury him in the sea. Makes no sense.
