I've got Logitech G9. Two buttons for the thumb (also two buttons to choose the dpi level). I use the other one sometimes. I had it as jump a while back, but I jump with wheeldown now, so I don't have much of use for it, in FPS's at least.
I've gotten used to moving my hand and finding the Shift and Ctrl keys so finding the WASD buttons is easy for me, also my keyboard can selectively light up WASD the rest of the buttons are on muscle memory. But i mainly play FPS so I dont need more buttons, although i have a 7 button mouse for convience (6&7 work off macro's to other buttons) I like having "MEDIC" and taunts assigned to the mouse.No_Remainders said:EDSF makes more sense than WSAD, think about it like this.Woodsey said:And ESDF? THIS IS MADNESS!
With WSAD you run the risk of accidentally losing your place on the keyboard if you get momentarily distracted, if you use EDSF, you can always find the F key by the little bump on it.
It makes sense, IMO.
Also you're less likely to hit the start key, or rely on Alt and Tab to do two separate things and accidentally switch window during a gun fight.
Happened so much while on ventrilo and trying to change gun in Halo when I used to play.
but how would you feel about keys alternating what those 2 buttons actually do. For example, Caps Lock Key toggles M2's function from "Melee" to "fire grenade"More Fun To Compute said:The mouse is for moving, keyboard is for buttons. More than one or two buttons to push in the middle of action is a distraction.

Yeah, shame it has that weird high back and prediction. Never figured out why it was so popular tbh.Denamic said:I've had my MX518 for years now.
Still going strong, as if new.
Best mouse I've ever had.

Because it's comfortable.Continuity said:Never figured out why it was so popular tbh.
