PC gamer almost all the way.
"Almost" because I love me some retro games on the Wii's Virtual Console, even though Nintendo seems to only be releasing games that hardly anyone knows about. I would love to be able to play FF1 (my favorite in the series) legally.
I play PC games because not only can I play mainstream games, I can find and play little open-source indie games that no one knows about, and I can even try to develop games myself. I also love the mouse for its amazing functionality for action-oriented games, and the keyboard for me is great. It is a bit complex, but everything is easy to reach and doesn't require me to contort my hand in strange or painful fashions.
I don't really like all the malformed hunks of plastic that are modern game-pads. I prefer the simplicity of the NES controller. Or maybe the SNES controller. I mean, people are born with an innate sense of how to use the NES controller. There's A, B, Start, Select, and a D-Pad. It's as simple as it gets, (while retaining functionality) and you've still got thirty-five combinations with A, B, up, down, left, right, up-left, up-right, down-left, and down-right. Then you can use Select during gameplay to toggle things, so there can be effectively seventy different options. Do you seriously need more? That's more controls than I use on most PC games!
