I tend to stay till at least the end of the round, or map if I can.

If you're referring to rage quits, where people just leave. I think they're bad losers and irritating ones too as the teams have to get re balanced because of them. Although they often help their former teammates because of it...

I leave games when I'm assigned to the team filled with morons, like in CoD4, being the only non-sniper in Search and Destroy on offense, being the only one with a positive score in TDM and having snipers cry because 3 enemy snipers are looking at their camp spot are common reasons for me to leave.

I don't leave teams often only If I actually have to go, like I have to go meet someone or solve some immedieate crisis.

I do understand why some people leave sometimes though, I've been tempted a few times myself, for example when most of your team starts betraying on halo because they think we've lost.

The way I see it, online games are generally pot luck, sometimes you get a great team or meet some nice adventurers in WoW for a dungeon and things are awesome, but then you'll get ninja's and pwnzorz who can't handle whats going on and/or ruin the expierience.

You've got to take the bad with the good sometimes, I just refuse to let anyone ruin my gaming expierience ^^

I don't but I know people who can get frustrated, so I do understand it. I like to wait it out, maybe I'll suddenly get better or he'll get worse, or maybe I won't lose by 17 like I originally thought. It's just better to see it through to the bitter end.

other. It depends why. If you're leaving because you're losing than I hate you. If you're about to get laid or something I'm not going to expect you to stay.

I avoid multi-player games for this reason. I'm a quitter. I'm not saying I'm a sore loser, but if I just feel like I need to stand up and walk around, or worse, get pissed off at the game, I see no reason to continue playing. It starts to hurt to play if I'm bored or enraged.

I just started up a Freelancer server, and my brother loves to play it. There was twice now that he was headed for me to team up, but I was on some mission that I just blew up without much warning, so I was too pissed to keep playing.

Dont' get me wrong. I'm not an angry person, but if things put me over the anger threshold, then playing more is the last thing I should be doing.

RL > Any game. If poeple feel like leaving, that's up to them. Also if they feel that they are badly underqualified to fight you, I think it's not more than fair that they go look for a game better suited to their level. Or are you saying they must stay on an humiliate themselves just so that you can get your ego stroked?

If they have a legitimate reason then I don't mind. Like if they have a crisis that suddenly came up or something. Or perhaps their Internet crapped out. Or someone suddenly just dropped by unannounced. That also happened to me while playing TF2 once. My girlfriend randomly decided to drop by without calling, so I left.

Now, if they just did it because they hate losing then no. I HATE those people. I still remember a time in Call of Duty 4 when my team was nothing but a single clan of guys and me, who wasn't part of the clan. We were playing Domination and the enemy got a few points ahead. The clan started yelling "Oh fuck this, we lost." and they all left. I left after that because I was all alone. Mind you, this was the early stages of the match, we had PLENTY of time to catch up had the little pricks just played the damn game. It was just a few points!

Basically for me, I find that generally people who quit games because they are losing are the uber competitive types and just try to avoid these types of people, there's nothing wrong with being competitive but when you ruin other peoples playing expierience then thats where they've crossed a line in my books.

The only time I consider leaving a game justifiable is if the game/teams are stacked in such a way that it is impossible to turn things around. That's why momentum based games are never any fun. EG: DotA.

I notice that alot in the Warcraft 3 maps I play, as soon as something goes sour everyone leaves.

Or someone says something offensive, everyone leaves.

Or someone makes an honest mistake, everyone on that persons team leaves.

It really makes me annoyed when I host games and 1 person leaves because they joined without wanting to play and everyone else leaves or just plain start abusing others

It happens. At my old place, at random times the lag would get REALLY bad, and sometimes we'd get dropped from a game (which was better than things appearing and disappearing randomly).

It sucks, and when the score is like 98 the other team 5 for us it's a douchebag move. But if they're dragging everyones ping down, or if they're just gonna team kill anyways, they might as well quit.
