No. I did used to like them but they just take up space on the forums and can make some conversations seem confusing.

No signatures. The staff has already said it's not going to happen. I personally don't like them because they make pages look terrible and there could be malicious code set up in some.

Besides, signatures are fucking annoying because it's guaranteed plenty of assholes will have big flashing ones that mess with my ability to open/read threads.

No. I do generally like signatures and at first I was angry that the Escapist doesn't allow them. It seemed like a pointless thing to forbid.

But once I found out the reason why signatures aren't allowed, I realized it was a good one. As has been mentioned, it makes forums cluttered and wastes space. The forums look much neater and nicer like this.

Ya, I agree, I quite like them, but the Escapists would look a lot more cluttered. What is the real reason I must ask, is there a specific reason?

I meant that the reason is that it makes the forums cluttered. Atleast that's the only thing I heard.

I voted Star Trek. I personally dislike signatures. On another forum that posts signatures by inserting them into the post box. I have a signature on the forum only so I can delete every time I post. It just seems pointless to me.

I personally like them on smaller forums, for example on my clan forum, but on these forums it would just get out of hand, with the multitude of posters.

The only purpose they serve is to visually clutter a forum. An avatar and a username is enough, I don't want to know about the funniest quote you're ever heard or see the same web comic strip every time you post.

One reason I love this forum so much is because there are no signatures.
Just look at the majority of the other posts and you'll know what i think about those horrible incarnations of mankind. I'll give you a hint: Cluttering
