Yes, but it's possible for a being to exist that doesn't sleep without violating and physical/"natural" laws.EcoEclipse said:Ah, thanks. Either way, we still need to sleep.Maze1125 said:No, we get tired because our brain is due for a period of maintenance. It merely feels like a lack of energy. Essentially all our energy is gained through eating.EcoEclipse said:Oh? That makes sense... but wouldn't that also be considered regaining energy? I mean, we get tired because we lack in energy, right? (Excuse me if I'm being way wrong, I'm just going by my own logic, I'm not really looking into it.)Maze1125 said:We don't sleep to gain energy, we eat food for that purpose.EcoEclipse said:$You will never need to sleep-- Defies the laws of nature. Sleep, although it feels like it's to do with energy, is actually to enact maintenance on the brain.
You'd use some time distortion field or something to speed up time on that planet?NeutralDrow said:So...you get to see each individual planet for half a second, then?laughinggod said:visit every planet in this galaxy within 1 monthYoshi_egg80 said:Define this trip around the galaxy please.
A being, yes, (i.e. fish) but I'd imagine it would be hard for a human being.Maze1125 said:Yes, but it's possible for a being to exist that doesn't sleep without violating and physical/"natural" laws.EcoEclipse said:Ah, thanks. So are most of the other options on the list.EcoEclipse said:A being, yes, (i.e. fish) but I'd imagine it would be hard for a human being.Maze1125 said:Yes, but it's possible for a being to exist that doesn't sleep without violating and physical/"natural" laws.EcoEclipse said:Ah, thanks. I'm not following.Maze1125 said:So are most of the other options on the list.
I guess you'd have to, just to get around the galaxy in a month in the first place. Kinda makes the "month" designation less relevant, in that case.A random person said:You'd use some time distortion field or something to speed up time on that planet?NeutralDrow said:So...you get to see each individual planet for half a second, then?laughinggod said:visit every planet in this galaxy within 1 monthYoshi_egg80 said:Define this trip around the galaxy please.
he said galaxy not universe we know that all of the other planets are barren and lifelessSpace Spoons said:I chose the $2500 every month option. Simply put, it's the most practical decision for me.
Would have chosen the trip around the galaxy, but we don't really know what's out there. I could making first contact with advanced civilizations, or I could be signing up for what is essentially a tour of space rocks, old satellites and planets made of deadly, deadly ammonia.
Many animals don't require sleep, insects and certain bat species for example. Anyway, we do need sleep but the option is to rid you of the need. Therefore not sleeping would not have negative effects of any kind. I really think that I cannot stress enough that the poll option is to "never need sleep." This is all a nonsensical farce anyway, look at the options for their benefits not their scientific problems.EcoEclipse said:Ah, thanks.
