I want to get my lip pierced next week after years of being promised "you can do what you want when you finish school" and now my mom is telling me that i can get a tattoo or anything else but not my lip done. Which is confusing me greatly to be honest. Still doing it though!
So what does everyone on here have done? Any lip pierced people want to share some advice? I have my ears (and had them gauged in the past)

Lip piercings are okay. Kinda bugged me though. Couldn't drink soda right after. I said, "oh hells no." I took it out. I wanted a tattoo better. Still haven't got around to it yet.

Lip piercings are seriously annoying for the first few weeks, because they have to give you an extra large post/ring to account for swelling. I had my labret done and yanked it before it fully healed because it was so annoying. No joke, every other time I took a bite out of something I wound up chomping on metal.

Might have been badly positioned...I only found that happened twice in the entire healing process, and never afterwards.

OT: Yeah, I have a lip on the left side, and plan to get another on the right side, and my septum done.

think of your future, not many people will employ someone with holes in their face.

my former employer didn't have a problem with employees with piercings, hair colours or tatts and 'll be in college for the next 4 years at least so don't think it's gonna affect me that way

i had a friend that had tattoos removed to join the police just to get turned down because he had his lip pierced. you will get employed, it is just hard to get a career, depending on what you want to do.

$40-$50 dollars, I think? But, that doesn't include what kind of loop/ring you want. I didn't buy any fancy loop.

i had a friend that had tattoos removed to join the police just to get turned down because he had his lip pierced. you will get employed, it is just hard to get a career, depending on what you want to do.

Well i won't know until August what college course i'll get (stupid Irish system) but hopefully i'll be studying genetics. So it's a 4 year course minimum, probably more, then... some kind of job. So i mean having it pierced for couple years of college can't be that bad can it?
