It was touching so I will admit there was some "Swallowing of Emotions" to keep it back.

I knew it was sad, I watched it and even expecting it I was one blink away from shedding tears, I had certainly welled up. Great film

The opening montage (if that's what you would call it) would be the most likely cause, I certainly teared up and my girlfriend cried the second time too. Frankly, if you're not moved by that sequence then you might be playing too many video games! It was tragic. If not then, perhaps when Carl finds Ellie's adventure book at the end.
I didn't cry, but I rarely do for any reason. I thought the opening was amazing, though, and possibly the best thing Pixar's ever done (which is saying a lot, considering how they seem to be incapable of making a bad movie). Unfortunately, it kind of went downhill a bit after that (right about the time the talking animals showed up) and ended up only being good instead of great. I'd really like to see them do a full movie with the tone of that intro, because they certainly have the people there who could pull it off well, but they'd kind of lose the family appeal if they did that, so I don't see it happening.

Yeah I was moved and my girlfriend cried her eyes out.

Damn good film I thought, one of Pixars best.

I didn't really like it that much.

I was no where near tearing up. I was never near going "Awwww..."

Come on, he doesn't open the last page UNTIL NOW??!!! That killed it for me.

I was on the verge of crying. There's a lot to be said about a movie that can make you cry over the death of a character you've only known for less than 10 minutes. Most movies can't do that with 2 or more hours.

Very very close.
I was in the theater when I saw it the first time, and after the first 20 minutes I was fighting the tears and thinking "Curse you Pixar! What have you done to me??" Now that I own it (If you have a BluRay player, get this on BluRay...it looks incredible), I still tear right up at the intro montage. It's just so heart breaking, and yet heart warming all at the same time.
Awesome movie.

The opening was absolutely heartbreaking.
Sublime work, Pixar.

The rest of the film was moderately entertaining slapstick.
Not on the level of the perfection that is Toy Story 2.
But I digress; YES I cried.
Like a baby.

Nearly, and near the ending part when Carl
looks through the rest of Elie's book.

Off topic, but still related to up, I reviewed it for my media piece in English and got a B! So, thanks Pixar, for making a great movie for me to review.

I had a friend spoil the intro sequence for me, since everyone kept saying it made them cry, and I still cried. I think knowing what was going to happen made me cry harder, actually. I also cried at the end when he looks at the book.

Har har, I get it. Furries are not people. How very witty.
That sure is an edgy joke to make, seeing as the majority of the internet is totally okay with them and in fact almost supportive of their harmless if odd fetish.
Way to stand out from the crowd, there.

To answer your mostly facetious question, no. I don't do sex.
Of any sort.

I just thought this would be a good place to ask this question, as people generally consider gamers to be desensitised to such things!
i did cry, almost every person i knew cried at least a little.

I even got it on DVD (dont look at me like that) and i still cried.....

Also, when he discovers the "new" pages in the adventure book
