my vision is around -4.0 diopters, so about 20/400. Because my eyes are different strengths, even for something close like reading, I need to wear them all the time. I tried contact lenses, but was never able to get used to them.

I know I ain't got 20/20 but my optician say I have "near perfect vision" admittedly I spent most of the check up looking at her ample cleavage. Hey I'm 15 its OK for me to do these things, I'm uh.... just learning?

Glasses. I heard that contacts are annoying to use, and i know it's not that hard to get eye infections with them

Also isn't there a certain per cent of failures with eye surgery?
Anyways glasses are easy and i look weird/er without them.

Yes but that's because most wore monocles to look evil and the others are sex gods so need to be able to do the take off glasses look into distance single tear routine.

Nope. 8/20 vision in one eye. 18/20 in the other. My good eye makes me not need glasses. My optometrist says I can't see depths, but because I've been living like for so long (about 10 years) I've grown my own depth-perception. I see different than you!

You really need to add some choices to your poll for people not nearly blind, but not with perfect sight.

Hmm, you could call that "free-form glasses" or something like that. It's basically 2 halves of a pair of glasses that aren't connected.

Anyway, I wear glasses. I'm nearsighted, so I can read a book without them, but for pretty much anything else, gaming, tv, driving, I need 'em.
I don't think I could ever wear contacts. I'd love to get lasik, but a) I can't afford it and b) I'm afraid something will go horribly wrong. So, more likely, I'll just stick with the glasses.

Depending on the exam, I range from 20/20 to 20/10. I did have a slight astigmatism and was prescribed a very slight prescription lens, but it corrected itself within two months and the glasses were put away.
