I liked Fire and Spirit temples. I'm so-so with water. (IT WASN'T THAT BAD). I hated the shadow temple.

However, Ganon's castle and the Gerudo fortress were more interesting.

The one that people will stop talking about because OoT is one of the worst in the series.
OoT is one of the strongest in the series next to twilight princess because it gave Legend of Zelda such a smooth transition into 3D and with out the milestones, like Targeting, it set for the series it wouldn't have evolved into what we have on the Wii and Game Cube. besides howcan u say this is the weakest in the series it had a good amount of action and puzzle solving, though the story is as linear and predictable as you could expect from a legend of zelda game it had a couple nice surprises and twists and I liked how u had to move back and forth through time to solve some of the puzzles. all the distinct feels of the temples and areas were nice and refreshing too, u can tell the effort they put into the lvl design(though maybe alittle too much effort in the water temple)
It's the weakest because it tries to be a 3D ALttP and fails at it.
I played and beat both Alttp and Oot and of course they are similar all Zelda games are similar in the sense that they always have a similar story, similar characters and the fact that Nintendo tries out a new Idea oneach new game it releases, like time travel in Oot and duel worlds in ALttP, in each new installment of franchise. besides it would be more apropriate to say that Twilight Princess is a copy of ALttP seeing how they both use the light and dark world concept to drive the story line. yes the similarities are there between the two but not enough to say that OoT was trying to be a 3D ALttP. Personally I think OoT is more similar to the Oracle of Ages on the Game Boy, though I think OoT came out first.

Hard to say. I even like the Water temple, after a fashion (especially the Dark Link fight), the Forest and Shadow temples still creep me out, and I love the chanting BGM of the Fire temple (and the Megaton Hammer is fun to play with).

I'm gonna go with the Spirit temple, though. I loved the desert motif, the mirror shield was cool-looking, the Iron Knuckles were fun to spar with, the puzzles were decently challenging (or, if you played Master Quest, incredibly challenging), and Twinrova was a great boss fight.

Water Temple for me, 'cus I got through it without the water suit. WITHOUT IT! My bastard friends told me you couldn't unfreeze the Zora King, so I never realized he gave you a free suit until I went back and tried it... after the Water Temple...

I voted for water, but then I saw the OP asked for which we had the most fun playing through. Water's my favorite simply because the shared animosity for it is something that unites true Zelda fans.

The Spirit Temple, due to its great music and amalgamation of previous puzzles, in addition to the badass Mirror Shield.

Hard to pick. I like the Forest, Fire, and Spirit Temples equally. I hate the Water and Shadow Temples, though. Water moreso than Shadow.

I chose Fire, simply for the Megaton Hammer.

Spirit Temple for having the most variety.
yeah, definitely Spirit Temple. always been my favorite, and it has the best boss in the game, too

I voted for Water. YES it is hard AS HELL, but I must say I have passed the game many times and this is one of the temples that for some VERY STRANGE REASON I look forward to go to. Maybe it could be because I need that LONGSHOT! :)

UPDATE: Nope, I found the real reason why I like this temple so much. First of all no zombies (ReDeads) or floormasters, no fire or ice keeses. It's not creepy, dark and scary. You don't have to be constantly watching your back for some nasty spirit to show up from the darkness (lol suspense there). The music is not scary either, and beating Dark Link is indeed a lot of fun!

To kill Dark Link right away:

1. DON'T Z TARGET HIM
2. GET YOUR MEGATON HAMMER
3. AS LONG AS YOU DON'T Z TARGET HE USUALLY WONT EVEN ATTACK YOU
4. HIT HIM WITH THE HAMMER, HE'LL FALL AND COME BACK
5. REPEAT 8 TIMES OR SO.

I loved the sand temple b/c of the mirror shield and needing to be both young and old to beat it and the armorals were AWSME to kill
p.s the water temple should NEVER BE THERE

Why not include the young Link levels? Jabu Jabu was a hilarious dungeon. Of the adult temples though...I'd have to say Ganon's castle is the best, because it is well-paced, the puzzles are clever, and it has some nice combat challenges. Oh yeah...it also has GANON! Woot!

you know, i don't get why a lot of people gripe about how hard the water temple was. in fact, i had an easier time with it than i did the forest temple. I've heard people say that it was the changing of the water level that was the frustrating part. but i didn't find changing the water level that much of a problem at all. I went all the way through that temple without getting stuck once. and all the puzzles seemed straightforward and obvious.

and the music is cool.

the shadow temple just because I like the theme and the boss

The water temple is my least favorite, it gives me.....bad flashbacks.
