my parents have a BD player downstairs hooked up through a HD cable and the TV in my room has a HD connector.
I use a standard VGA connection on my monitor and it serves me well.

I have one, but only because my parents bought it for me when I moved out. If they hadn't, I'd still be using a 4:3 CRT as I'm too cheap to upgrade.

Yes. I've got a 22" 1080 LED Monitor, but that doesn't count as it's not a TV, but I've got a fairly cheap 720p one in the living room. My monitor looks nicer though.

I've been thinking about getting another one, and be hacker-like. I did once see HAWX on a 3 monitor set up. It looked fantastic.

I got an HDTV in a raffle win, my parents wont bother with SkyHD or anything like that because its expensive, but gaming in HD is so much better.

Yes, I bought one when I got my Xbox 360. It's 18" or something. Wish I got a bigger one, but it works pretty well.

My PS3, Wii and 360 are hooked up to my main TV in the living room, a 40" HD LED affair, but I still have a trusty 15" tube sat in the spare bedroom with my PS2 hooked up to it. Primarily because I find older games look like unholy arse when stretched across a huge modern widescreen.

Come to think of it, a lot of Wii games actually look better on the older television too. My old Gamecube games sure as hell do.

Counting monitors . . . ten HDTV's.
while people stave to death in other countries do you really need 10 ?
This can be applied to anything, for example your computer or Internet connection.

It does no good to attack individuals who may, for all we know, donate millions of dollars annually to improving the lives of starving people.

OT: Yes, my girlfriend bought one for us last year, because she's amazing. Before that I had us playing on a 10-12 inch CRT screen with component cables and a purple circle in the top left corner that I got for $10 from an OP shop.

Yup.

Got a 50" plasma, and I'm rather fond of it.
Girth or width?

*cough*

OT: I do. Three in fact. My family is pretty lucky, we're in the upper-middle class. Woot ^^

Counting monitors, then yes. My family is very low-tech (other than myself, of course) and we're pretty much okay with our CRT televisions. I feel no pressure to upgrade. When I can get an HDTV for free then I'll think about it. For now, my monitor's fine.

Just bought a new 50" plasma last week. Had to replace my 10 year old 50" HD tv. The new one is was 1/4 the price and 1/4 the weight for the same resolution. Gotta love technology.

No HDTV at my home. Unfortunately I can hardly read some texts in games without getting really close to my TV and breaking my eyes guessing what is written there. That is annoying. I wish there was an option for the size of texts in games.

I hardly watch TV but buying a HDTV just for gaming...?! Sure it's great to see that. My brother has a HDTV, I plugged his PC to his 42''-HDTV...really nice...but he didn't like it
Funny, I would say it's silly to get an HDTV unless you want it for gaming.

I mean sure, you might be a film buff, but I don't really know any film buffs and I personally think films are pretty much the worst media about so I don't rate them highly.

But seriously, why would you need an HDTV to watch TV? That's silly.

Ouch. That must have been quite the upgrade for your eyes, lol.
