I... don't have any TV. For over five years now.

I DO have three CRT-Monitors... sometimes i will get myself a big LCD. If and when i get the money.

OT: Yes, my girlfriend bought one for us last year, because she's amazing. Before that I had us playing on a 10-12 inch CRT screen with component cables and a purple circle in the top left corner that I got for $10 from an OP shop.
Ouch. That must have been quite the upgrade for your eyes, lol.
Yeah, was marvellous. I was able to lean back and lie (lay? Unsure on correct wording here) on my bed rather than sit forward on the end of it.
We had the TV in our room at the time as we lived in a share house.

Now we have a nice and far away couch to sit on in our own apartment. Yay!

Yup, bought a 32" Full HDTV right before I bought a PS3. Haven't looked back ever since.

The only bad thing is that it shows the lack of Anti-Aliasing in console games a loooot more. Fallout: New Vegas just looked horrendous. But when I watched Watchmen in HD, and played Uncharted 2 in HD....oh my oh my.

I might have to buy a new one though, my LG 32LH3000 is starting to act up.

That and Blu Ray movies is basically all that HDTV's are good for. There isn't much actual HDTV content worth watching, apart from nature documentaries perhaps.

Well, I have a 24" and a 20" computer monitors that can do higher resolutions than HDtv so that's nice. I also have a 46" Toshiba 1080p tv. While I like it a lot and it's pretty, I think I like my friend's Samsung better. I guess I also have a 15" polaroid brand tv. I haven't turned that think on since the big digital switchover. I have an antenna for it but pretty sure it needs a tuner still and I just haven't felt the need to get one for it.

A 42" 1080p that I use for consoles and a 24" 1080p that I use as another monitor. Not sure what my other monitor is.

I think it's lie in that situation as it's a continued state, not an action. I think if you lay down on a bed, you are said to be lying on it.

English is awesome! [sup]Not.[/sup]

No HDTV at my home. Unfortunately I can hardly read some texts in games without getting really close to my TV and breaking my eyes guessing what is written there. That is annoying. I wish there was an option for the size of texts in games.

I hardly watch TV but buying a HDTV just for gaming...?! Sure it's great to see that. My brother has a HDTV, I plugged his PC to his 42''-HDTV...really nice...but he didn't like it
Funny, I would say it's silly to get an HDTV unless you want it for gaming.

I mean sure, you might be a film buff, but I don't really know any film buffs and I personally think films are pretty much the worst media about so I don't rate them highly.

But seriously, why would you need an HDTV to watch TV? That's silly.
Actually I would buy a HDTV just for gaming but I don't have the money.
Buying a new TV just for gaming is quite expensive for this reason only.
Now my inner wall of reasons against a new HDTV is broken and I am sad. I go to a dark corner and cry now.
;)

Watching TV included watching films to me. I like to watch films but I am fine doing that on my old, small TV or old, small monitor.

Yup, had HD for a number of years now (full 1080p too) and I could never go back (not that you really can buy anyother TV)

Sky HD looks gooood, too. And I can't really get my head around people not having HD.

Of course. Anything less would be a burning insult to my eyes. Only poor people don't have HD.

I have an "HD" monitor for my PC, but other than that I don't own one personally.

I guess. But I got my 42" HDTV for £200 off-line. It's Samsung too so a well known make, they not that expensive anymore if you look around properly.

I have 3, well my parents have 3 seeing as my dad seems addicted to buying them whenever he has the chance not that I have a problem with it.
