Nope. I talk to myself during movies. Or maybe I talk at movies. Either way, if something isnt going to way I want it to in a game, I can go in there and do something about it.

I do have a copy of Dark Souls and an almost complete system update, so we shall see

I do, but it's more talking to NPCs or just going "For crying outloud!" when I feel something is particularly unfair.

So OP, what do you talk about when you're playing hard games? Do you go full out AVGN or do you just utter one-liners?

I talk to myself all the time. While gaming, I'll taunt dead enemies and do the celebratory 'fuck you' cheer.
I'm sorry for not posting back fast enough, this topic spread like wild fire.... but anyway, I normally go AVGN-style. Well, sort of. Just watching me play IWBTG will pretty much give you the answer. (****ING LINK!)

Considering I do Let's plays [http://www.youtube.com/user/MrHaza2] it's sort of a requirement at times.
When I'm by myself I keep it silent though.

Yes. Not in the sense that I'll have long and length conversations with myself, but just stuff like "lol this is awesome" or "this is BS" or "so I have to do this, and then this, and then this...". I'd say it's more like thinking out-loud than talking to myself.

I don't really talk to myself but to the game characters, but I guess that counts.

I just cuss when I mess up or something jumps at me. Never have a conversation with myself.

Sometimes when I am thinking aloud (I usually say stuff like "What to hell?" or some other small comments).

Yep, a bit too much. Thats why I started doing LPs really. Gave me a legitimate reason to, and they're pretty fun.
This, pretty much. And to be honest, once I started LPing, I began to talk even MORE, even when I'm not recording.

Normally I don't but if I get killed I usually say something along the lines of, "Oh you lucky bastard" or "where did you come from?" or "GOD DAMNIT, SON OF A *****!" That last one is usually resevered for when I'm playing a game on its hardest difficulty. For example, Gears 3 and MW3 will be getting that treatment when I go for those achievements.

Yep, I talk to myself all the time. Things such as "oh god that made me jump" to "what the **** are you doing?! get back in the game!" and all sorts.

I'm quite amusing on Xbox LIVE sometimes, when I get distracted and I'm just grumbling stupid comments to people about how terrible I am playing today or something. I think Revelo knows what I'm like :)

Does swearing count?

Occasionally I mumble random stuff to myself. Eg, if I'm on a killing spree I sometimes softly sing Stayin' Alive but with the "Alive" replaced by "Dead".

All of the time.
Minecraft - "Sweet! I found a diamond! Now to make sure I get out of here alive... NO! DIE SKELETON!"
Modern Warfare 2 - "So, you *insert a volley of slur* CAMPER, YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME? I'LL SHOW YOU *more slur*" Note that I don't say any of this into the mic.
Any Puzzle Game - "Okay, so this goes here, this should go here and everything should work... wait WHAT? DAMN IT!"
I do have a bit of a temper...

But will I make up some fun dialogue for my silent protagonist? You bet your ass I will.
I love giving my silent character a voice and a personality. Or even characters with voices who don't talk all the time. My Dark Messiah character's personality is currently split between a total dickhead, a person who things like "have at you" in a ridiculously over-hammed voice and the character's actual personality.

Playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood brings out my ability to bust out post-combat one-liners, both good and bad. I think the coolest thing I've ever said to a game happened when I was fighting guards with my fists and beat down three of them and the fourth surrendered and said "Please! I'm not like the others!", at which point I finished him with the kill that throws them onto their back and then stomps on their face, and said "You are now."
