For some reason, your poll brought me to the startling realization that somewhere out there on the internet, there's Rule 34 of Ezio/Altair. And since they're both Desmond's ancestors, it's also roundabout incest.

Apart from that, they're both good.

Altair was pretty much the worst character ive seen in a while with a personality similar to that of a cinderblock infected with the t-virus so id have to say the other guy even though i havent played ac 2 yet

I like them both. Alot of you say Altair has no personality, horriable weapons, etc. etc.
Think! He's in a murderous brotherhood that follows a merciless leader. Remember the time period Ezio was in? The fucking renaissance!?! Altair was in the period were people never bathed, 300 years after Jesus I think.

Fuck you, Altair is cool.

I liked Ezio because of his story. I thought it was kinda interesting to play through and I enjoyed it. Although I HATED the horriable transition. They said we'd play through EVERY moment of him learning, and already seconds into the game we're all ready climbing flower pots and balconys to a roof.
I thought we'd have to learn that too. :C

I haven't played Assassin's Creed 2 yet (seen the first 15 or so minutes though), so I have to go with Altair.

You people are forgetting on crucial matter about Altair. He DEVELOPED all of Ezio's equipment remember? The Codex pages? Also during AC 1 we were only focusing on the memories not conversations. Altair could have been a pansy but we'll never know because those parts were skipped by the Animus.

ALTAIR!!!! ezio is really cool, and i appreciate the fact that he actually knows how to laugh, and is conscious of the opposite sex, etc... i also think he has the better wardrobe, his weapons are cooler, and he has way more BA moves. also, his double hidden dagger combination was insanely cool. but, we have to take into consideration how altair only had like four weapons period. that was the gameplay, not the characters themselves. and i have to agree that ACI had a very vague plotline up until the extreme end when he almost assassinates maria (funniest cutscene of my life). but nevertheless, altair's unwavering dedication is admirable, and his lack of personality is a personality in itself, so it's wrong to say that he doesn't have one. overall, altair is just way more badass, so he gets my vote. although i love ezio too

altair is ok, but is personality is too predictable. he doesnt care, he has no emotions, hes one step above pond scum in terms of charisma.

ezio is kind of a pussy but at least hes normal who develops a hardened personality.

they both suck at personality.

although altair's sucking personality matches an ASSASSIN.(which could come in handy when in a game called *assassins* creed

you people arnt considiring that altair was in the creed since he was born, he was trained, the assassins were more abundant. he was trained to be silent and emotionles, he was trained to kill, i mean hes an assassin isnt he? but etzio, he didnt know about the assassins till he was grown up, he didnt have much training, he already had another life, so he wasnt heartless. i like them both, and like somone else said, etzio was in the renisance, altair was when people didnt fucking bath

I prefer Altair. Why? His work might have dehumanized him and left him a jaded husk of his former self, but at least he could keep it in his pants. Also, he had a nifty character arc.

And he killed people in the city where Jesus was born. That's kind of a step up from Venice in my opinion.
