So, what about you?
US. I'm a pretty good shot with a 22 bolt-action rifle.
I've had lots of time to practice on the firing range during summer camp.

Then again I don't own one myself, nor does any one in my family...

...so I had to put target practice down as actual combat experience.

I live in Australia, which has pretty tight laws depending on state and you must have a legitiment reason for holding a lisence, and own two guns, but for me one is for sport/target shooting (a .22) and the other I consider has a tool since I live in a rural area on a property and my job includes vermin and feral animal control (.223).

By the by, I don't enjoy shooting animals and much prefer to be on the club range shooting paper targets.

My stepdad helped me fire a rifle when I was 7-or-so. It was at some park. There were targets.

Sorry to say it, but that's a poorly written list of poll options. Where is "Yes, but I don't own one."? That would be me. And Australia.

I currently own a firearm that I use regularly enough to maintain proficiency (A springfield XD sub compact). I was formerly in the US Army where I had occasion to fire my weapon in anger.

In terms of experience, I was awarded Expert Marskman with my issued M-16, Sharpshooter with the M9, Sharpshooter with the M249 and awarded "proficiency" with the M2HB.

Indeed I have:

All of them shot in Kentucky, where you can apparently own ANYTHING (mini guns, RPGs, .50 cals, they had all these and more, even elephant guns!)

I dislocated my arm with a Desert Eagle.

I was trying to bond with friends and friends fathers and grandfathers, but I abhor weapons.

My favourite weapon is the Bow, such majesty in firing those things.
i prefer the crossbow, personally i find it more accurate and less of a pain to stretch the cord.

I've shot one at a target practice before, made sure that I only shot at the targets but then some kid with a shotgun fired before I could get completely out of the way. I ducked just in time but for fuck's sake kid watch what or who you're aiming at.

Brit fag here. Where is the option for frequent shooting, but no ownership?
I went to a military school, so did a tonne of shooting an SA80, plus s bit with a number and target rifles.

I live in the US and have fired a gun but don't own one because I live in Massachusetts, which is as close as a communist state as you can get without putting a hammer sickle in the Indians hands.

Yeh, my family and I combined own a total of ~25 guns. Various gauge shotguns for different situations, different caliber rifles, and my dad and I both own a pistol for home protection. And of course, I'm in the USA.

Yes, target practice with hunting rifles. I don't have the patience for actually hunting. I live in Canada on the west coast.
