Since you said air rifles don't count, no. I fired an air rifle at cadet camp, but you said that doesn't count, so yeah no. Don't have any real desire to own or fire a gun, except maybe an old-style revolver, those are about the only guns I like. Oh, I live in Canada, Alberta to be specific.

There's no 'I shoot but do not own the firearm' option!

Also, yes I have shot real live guns. I've fired an L98 cadet rifle, a Remington something or other at a Deer (which I missed), a bunch of Webley clay pigeon 'rifles' that are really shotguns and a Mauser 98 Karbiner, that one was lovely.

All in the UK, except the Mauser, which was on Crete, there are shit loads of Mausers on Crete.

I've gone to a range when I was in the US and shot a 9mm, but I live in Canada. It was way louder then I expected it to be, and the shells burnt my exposed skin. No one told me that it was a bad idea to wear a tank top in the range!

I ended up giving my headphones back to the dude at the counter, telling him I was from Canada as an excuse and sitting in the car waiting for them to finish.

Some people seem to know a lot about guns and I'm betting that many of them haven't fired one.

Yes I've shot a gun, a shotgun as a matter of fact. My friend has a cabin in rural Pennsylvania, and we head out there during the summer and shoot at clay pigeons and other such targets.

I'm American btw.

My dad started teaching me how to shoot when I was four. I get ot pat myself on the back for being a crackshot. Which is good, because my physical aptitude is shit.

Mostly honed my skills hunting, so I prefer guns with high accuracy, though I've allowed myself one indulgance. Own a 10/22 (this should be every child's first gun), a remington 700, a mossberg 500, a taurus revolver and an FAL (my indulgance: in case the zombies show).

For all the liberal hoplophobia that gets toted about most of the European media when they aren't jacking off to photos of Michael Moore, there's nothing to worry about if you're actually TAUGHT how to use them properly.

I live in the US and I own a Mossberg 500 12-gauge shotgun. I've only been able to take it to the shooting range twice because the range time and ammo is so expensive. Once I find a cheap and safe place to fire it, I'll probably take it out a lot more often.

If I had the money I would also love to get a Springfield XDm 9mm.

I only got to shoot one gun in my life (Irish Gun laws are very strict) and that was a c96 Mauser. God I love that gun.

You know, come to think of it... if the zombies ever do show up... Europe is just SCREWED. No guns, no will to act (except in Glasgow maybe), and the politicians will be calling for dialouge instead of fighting.

I love my .40 Taurus, I shoot that sucker as often as I can (at targets, no living targets at this point). It's good stuff know and it's a fucking blast to do! I'd rather know how to use it in the right situation than to be a total moron when it comes to being in a live-fire situation.

I live in the US by the way and no I'm not some crazed "redneck" just because I own a gun and know well how to use it.
I don't think that's the objection people tend to have, it's not that have a gun makes you a 'crazed redneck', it's more that fact that being a crazed redneck isn't a hindrance to actually acquiring a gun.
