According to the epic poem The Inferno, there are 9 layers of hell, each with its own guardian. if you were a guardian of one of the following circles, what would you be? I would choose Limbo, because it is where people who havent sinned, but were forsaken by others go. In a way, its a depressing version of heaven. i have the link to the wikipedia page on the circles for info. which would you choose?

Lust.

Oh, how much fun I could have with the people sent there...
But they're all just ghosts, that'd be an even worse hell.
I guess I'd rule limbo, I could meet all the intellectuals of antiquity.

That's a hard choice...

I can think of ways to torture Angry, Greedy and Gluttonous people.

Angry - Never ending rick roll, games that they can never win but you're always so close, etc.

Greedy - A giant mountain of gold, but you only get a small bag the size of your hand to carry it out with.

Gluttonous - You are surrounded by mountains of delicious food, but it is all poisoned and you will suffer the most intense agony you ever experienced every time you eat a piece.

6th circle for heretics (meaning anyone who doesn't agree with you)

I'm going their anyway.

George Carlin and Yahtzee will be there.

EDIT: Wrath sounds pretty cool though (5th circle) It would be an all out bar-room brawl for eternity - awesome.

The First Circle, Limbo, the Virtuous Pagans and unbaptized. The First Circle is actually a pretty decent place, with lots of cool folks like Homer, Aristotle and Julius Caesar. For an ancient history junkie like myself, that would be heaven.

Limbo to chill with all the wisest philsophers of all time.

Edit: after reading more of the poem limbo sounds better than heaven.

Fraud, or would I?

That means I get to torture lawyers, politicians, heretics, thieves, trolls, curmudgeons and raconteurs.

Close enough to heaven for me :)
