Something that I'm seeing a lot in this thread is the question "why wouldn't it be okay?", and that's pretty much the camp I'm in. There isn't really much of anything approaching a convincing argument against it, presuming that people don't cross the line into moai hug pillow relationship territory.

Personal point: do you mean that you don't mind it as in fanart, etc.? I'm a bit unsure, so I figured I'd ask.

For me: A tie between Asura from Soul Eater, Lelouche from Code Geass, and Morrigan of Dragon Age: Origins fame.
Morrigan?

I believe someone on these forums said it best with this:

Keep in mind, modern man began painting on cave walls 40,000 years ago. The Camera was invented in like 1826. So thats 41,826 years of wanking it to drawings and paintings.

So, not weird at all. If anything, it's more traditional and therefore more classy.

If by sexy you mean appealing yeah they are crafted to be that way by proffesionals(well sometimes amateurs but you get the idea) But I think one shouldn't get too excited about them either. Last thing we need is more rule 34 pics (and possibly genocide but you get the idea)

Most of them are designed to appeal to certain genders or...demographics.
So yeah, that's how they are made.
It's okay.

Frankly, i wouldn't know what to say when asked about sexy characters in comics, videogames and anime.
Snake? Bayonetta?

Yep. As long as you prefer real thing to 2-D, liking drawn characters is not wrong.

Is it wrong? Nope. Yeah, maybe if you were in love with a fictional character but just being attracted to one is perfdectly normal. Hell, no different really to being attracted to Scarlett Johansonn as Black Widow... Well, not that different.

[sub](PLEAS NOTE: This post was written by someone with videogame hentai on their computer and should not be used as an example in defense of your point, although it is right)[/sub]

Thinking they are sexy is not the same as not liking the real thing or preferring the fictional character.

That said, the creators of sexy characters intentionally made the character sexy. I imagine it's really damn hard to accidentally make a character sexy. If a sexy character is actually sexy, the artist did their job, right?

Well if it's wrong then the human race must be genetically dispositioned to be "horrible people". Many (possibly most?) comic books and anime use sex appeal in some way or another, and the reason why it works is because human sexual stimuli is very visual based, we respond to shapes and forms. That's just the kind of animal we are.

This again? No, it's not weird at all, and I find it odd that some people still ask this question on this forum.

Even my closest friends look at me weirdly when I admit to finding a fictional, animated character attractive.
But I don't really care- I'm fully aware that they're not real, and cannot actually be bonked, but that doesn't stop me from appreciating their attractiveness.
I'm mainly looking at you, Faye Valentine, from Cowboy Bebop...

Anybody who says no clearly has no understanding of basic human psychology and physiology.

It's a cultural thing where people think it's wrong, because it is seen as something people who can't get with real members of the preferred sex enjoy. Or the idea that people who find them attractive find them more so than real people.

Simply put: No, it is not wrong. Not on principle at least.

Sure, you can find what ever you want to attractive. I think it's more weird that people try oppose you for finding something that's not technically real attractive, especially considering that all of it is technically just data pixels on a screen. So even a "real" person will no longer qualify as real once they get converted into data and processed through a computer.
Nico Robin because look at her body, that's why.

Nothing wrong with it at all, it becomes a bit weird when people start beleiving they are imaginary partners or preffering to spend time with drawn or digitally rendered (i.e. game characters) than real people they would be attracted too. Even then I wont judge, it wouldnt appeal to me but if it makes someone happy they have the rights to be happy.

As for hottest video game chars? Liara from Mass Effect, Cortana from Halo and Leliana from Dragon Age Origins and finally Alyx Vance from Half Life 2 would be my picks.

Had sex with Ashley Williams a few days ago in Mass Effect so yeah, damn they're sexy.

As for the hottest, I can't name them all.

What can I say? I'm 22, never been kissed or on a date so video games are as close as I've gotten to actual female contact.

Eh, nothing wrong with finding animated characters sexy. Animated characters are an approximation of humans anyway, and if they're built to have sex appeal finding them sexy is probably the intended audience response.

In fact...

I tolerate it's existence because I'm usually on Deviantart, searching for inspiration for D&D quests and NPCs. When I enter Fantasy LoL usually comes up. And I really do think the character design is interesting and solid for the different characters with their own personalities and backstories. The fans just make me want to cough up blood. They're like the really annoying immature anime fans, but they claim that everything from "why so serious?" to the Raven King (a King-Arthur era legend) came from LoL.

For me: A tie between Asura from Soul Eater, Lelouche from Code Geass, and Morrigan of Dragon Age: Origins fame.

What? She's well written and characterized, got a pretty face (I like full lips), has repeatedly pulled me and my party out of a death dive, and her outfit is really unique in a cool Celtic witch sort of way.
