Rule 34 of the Internet: If it exists, someone has made porn of it. No exceptions.

It is an unfortunate fact of the internet. Whether it's Pokemon, Portal, Calvin and Hobbs, or Dora the Explorer. There are NO EXCEPTIONS! My question is, WHY!? What makes an otherwise normal human think "Hey, look! The Muppet Show, Damn, Kermit looks hot tonight. I'm going to draw him in a gimp suit with Miss Piggy and post it on the internet for all to see."?

(Note: The situation above is assumed. If you search for it and find it, I really, REALLY don't want to know about it.)

Hurray for the internet. Anything you can imagine exists, does! If you don't like it, you aren't prepared for the future!
Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to go look at artwork of the Kool-Aid man getting gang banged by Count Chocula, The Trix Rabbit, and Cap'n Crunch!

I'm pretty sure I saw a similar thread about this a while back and the jist of my opinion is that I couldn't give a shit. There are certain types of people who will inexorably draw and wank to seriously demented shit. It happens, there's nothing that can be done to stop it. If you don't like it then don't look for it, simple as.

if it's a charachter of your own fine then but I think it's horrible if anyone ever makes it of something I'd look for. I was looking up pictures of the pokemon pignite (just the word pignite nothing else) and saw a picture of a pignite raping a victini

Scares me. Quite a lot. Luckily I've seen nothing too childhood scarring, but still, it's creepy.

I was most surprised by the rule the time when someone called the rule on Dinosaurs + Cars. And then people still delivered it. I was. shocked to say the least. When they say no exceptions, they mean NO exceptions.

Humans are fascinated by sexuality and the sexualisation of the world around them. It makes sense that almost anything can be fetishised and sexualised. I would also wager a guess that the 'taboo' aspect for some of it probably plays a role. "Oh no way i can't think of (examples the OP gave) as erotic. That would be taboo and society would grab their pitchforks!... And that makes it all the sweeter."

And that leads me on to Rule #43. The more beautiful and innocent something is, the more sweet and delicious it is to corrupt it. So corrupting otherwise "innocent" images and iconography into eroticisim is playing to that rule.

I remember when first told about rule 34 by a friend, I challenged him to find some Dead Space porn.
Yes, it exists.
OT: It can be entertaining, but the site always runs too slow to actually find anything.

I think it's an aquired taste. And it's not as if people just suddenly find muppets sexy or anything, but if someone grew up watching the muppets as a kid sexual attraction for miss piggy might gradually grow. Really it boils down to the sex appeal of the character affecting kids at a young age i think. One of those kids may eventually grow up, see a re-run of muppets and think "hey, she's kinda sexy.....". And that's where our good old friend Rule 34 comes in!

S'okay.

It assures me that if I want to find something, I can probably find it.

...And plenty of stuff I don't want to find, but it's okay.

Anyway, whatever happens between a computer screen and masturbating ne.... person is none of my concern and i do not see why it should be yours.

at least thats my philosophy on "those" matters. you like it? fine, keep it to yourself.

I'm reminded of that one scene in Red Dwarf:

It's all right. It brings out some laffs out of me sometimes, they've violated any shows I watched as a child, no new content to ruin, though there are infinite ways to do it.

Well I know what I like and other than that I don't touch on anything else.

If you come across something apply the 40 foot pole rule. Poke it once if curious and if it's scary drop the pole and run like fuck.
