"Rule 34: Where in Soviet Russia, childhood rapes YOU!"

Creepy as shit, but I've heard/seen far scarier fetishes than fan-wanking.

I love it.

Of course, I kinda have to, seeing as I'm also one of the sick fucks who draw it.

I'll admit it's interesting just to see what some people can create when challenged. Certain themes are beyond what I, in all my mighty perviness, dare not think of too hard.
On the other hand, the best of rule 34 (if such a thing actually exists) is so scattered, it's not really worth tracking down. You may get it into your head to see if Dot from Animaniacs can *insert something gratuitous and gratuitously absurd* and check the Internet, but it might take you the better part of an hour to confirm or deny such art has been made. Far, far from worth it. Nuts to that.
Finally, there's something to be said for desensitizing a person to the mundane. See my above statement about mighty perviness. I can barely get aroused by simple man/woman goodness, there HAS to be something odd or perverse about the scene, even if it's something as simple as woman/woman goodness.

I don't mind it on the internet where I can avoid it. Now knowing people that would draw stuff in their free time at college and run around showing it to everyone is a different matter. There's a reason I can never play Final Fantasy VII, horrible horrible flashbacks.

it's a double edged sword. On one hand you've got actual artist's who could be in the hentai buisness and you're fictional crushes in comprising's positions (that's the plus side) and then you've just got the people maybe "shock 34" or with their own weird fetishes....

I can't say that i hate it, however i can't disregard it's downsides.

I was almost tempeted to post a link to paheel but that would probably violate a few rules on the escapist little own the escapist itself....

I remember when first told about rule 34 by a friend, I challenged him to find some Dead Space porn.
Yes, it exists.
.
Of course it does, it's a horrifying mix of necrophilia and tentacle porn.

Rule 34 gives me some small hope of my relationship prospects for the future. I may be disastrously ugly, but maybe there's a fetish for that, too.

As for myself? Eh, I don't mind. Not that I indulge in it.

*shoves Jill valentine/tali porn out of sight*

Nope. Not at all.
bahaha!
good too see i'm not the only one

I get a terrible kick out of Rule 34. I think it's hilarious. It has this can't look away horrible amazingness to it. I know that's not very descriptive... but yeah.

Basically, I get my jollies knowing your wonderful childhood memories are a few clicks away from being tainted.
:D.

Meh, it is what it is. That being said there are of course exceptions. I don't care what you say, there are always exceptions. There are plenty of things that exist and don't have any porn of them. An easy example would be me. I know I exist and I know for a fact that there is no pornographic anything of me anywhere. The list could go on, but I don't feel like wasting my time. In the end 34 is mostly something used for shock value. It's fun to mess with people especially those who have a strong image of something, childhood memories, that would be easy to corrupt. Then again if you have any kind of mental fortitude then 34 means nothing and you can just go about your business however you please.
You can't actually say that with absolute certainty. You don't know that any of the hundreds of people you have met in your life didn't secretly draw you in a sexual situation. Being able to find something and it existing? Those are two different things. And we all know how the whole argument of disproving the existence of something we have no proof for in the first place goes... don't we?

I don't consider mine or anyone else childhood sacred. People should like whatever they want instead of being ashamed of their feelings. But I really don't care what makes you tick, though.
