Oh dear lord.
I hate small talk. I am abysmally horrible at it.
And any other interaction with people, really.
Thank you Aspergers.

I'm 19, male, in North Carolina, and I am not an alcoholic.
HAH!

I prefer getting my teeth into something I can argue about.

They say Politics and Religion are the two things you DON'T bring up at the table. They're the only things I bring up,

I hate small talk. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Cut the shit, and get to it.

I love starting random conversations with strangers. So yeah, small talk is a big thing for moi.

Me? I'm 25, male, and I live in the United States.

Trust me ladies and gents, there is a huge difference between 20 and 30. Your eyes will go, you will calm down and start being more tolerant of people, and you will find it easier to buy booze in pubs.
Two of those three statements are true to all people. One is true of only you and maybe a handful of others. Here's a hint it doesn't involve either an optometrist or a breathalyzer test. =)

I'm a chatty person and always end up a little disappointed when say, shopkeepers don't want to say something about the weather. When I worked in retail I always wanted to chat with the customers.

Oh well. 25, Female (good lord, I'm the only one!), California.

I don't like it or dislike it, it's just small things to talk about before you talk about other, bigger things. Not all conversations can be on challenging topics can they?

It gets pretty annoying, and I'm comfortable in silence, so I prefer to avoid it

It depends. On the people, the place, and the time. If I'm feeling comfortable with all 3, I find it very easy and enjoyable to ramble on to people about nothing much in particular. If not, then I'd rather just say nothing.
