We've all shared our bed with someone, one way or the other. Whether with a significant other, or maybe a group of friends having a sleepover. Anyway, this sprung to my mind because the past weekend my sister came to visit. And we shared the same room. And I love her of course, but she snores. Loudly. She kept me up half the night. It was pretty miserable.

Now, as for me, I'm very aware that I tend to dribble a little bit in my sleep. I've tried to get it under control, but hey! -- I'm asleep! There's only so much I can do. But only I sleep on that pillow. When I have friends over (or in the case of my sister) I give them the pillows that I don't sleep (and therefore haven't drooled) on. And I sleep on only one pillow, so .... in my opinion, snoring is worse. But I can understand that some people just find drooling gross (I do it, and I think it's gross) so maybe for others, snoring is the better bet. But I'm gonna stick with snoring as being worse.

Which is worse for you?

Drooling while a bit unnerving is okay with me because eventually it dries and you can wipe it up.

Snoring on the other hand..is annoying when you're trying to sleep and the person is as loud as a chainsaw on full power like my father tends to be. On the other hand, if you just sit in the other rooms and listen one could get a few laughs out of the situation.

VERSUS THREAD! Run! We're all gonna get banhammered!

But since I'm still here, I say that drooling is worse. Snoring doesn't leave a mess.

Sounds like my parents: my dad drools; my mum snores.

And my mum, bless her, hope she's recovered OK, but she snores like a foghorn. When I was younger, my dad and I would make jokes about it when we can hear her (downstairs) over the violent films we're watching.

Just curious, but are "versus" threads against forum rules? It's my first you see, and I certainly wouldn't want to upset the moderators. I just thought it was a simple title.

Snoring by far. My wife snores and I wish she would drool instead. At least drooling is silent.

They are technically against the rules, since the Mods don't like having to put down flame wars. I was just emulating the overreaction most likely to come from a more controversial flame war.

A thread like this will probably get locked, but I doubt any real punishment or anger will come of it.

I drool too much in my sleep to say drooling, and my grandfather's snores can be heard on the other end of the house... so yeah, snoring.

Snoring is much worse. I've never had to complain the next day that I couldn't sleep because someone else was drooling.

It's happened on several occasions that I've had awful sleep due to people snoring, on one occasion I ended up recording the guy snoring and made him listen the next day because he didn't think he snored. He still doesn't think he snored, why would you be in denial in regards to snoring?

Good to know. I went carefully over the forum rules before posting, and I didn't think that a topic as ... off-beat as this would really instigate a "flame war". But, I'll certainly take that into consideration the next time!

Hm. There's someyhing really cute about sleeping with a girl who shores, but then again, I can sleep through a lot of things. So I suppose drooling would be worse.

Remember falling asleep in class once [upright, with my head leaning on my hand] and drooling neatly on my desk. Nobody noticed, thankfully.

Drooling is fine unless I'm right next to them... which means I would have explaining to do

The thing is though, All of my friends and me, we don't deny it, Snore like chainsaws. And since whenever I'm with them, I'm the last one to fall asleep... urrgh. Then in the morning we all complain bout it
So, I'm gonna go with snoring.

But I would've put in sleep headbutting and sleep kicking

I don't really have a problem with either. They both can be pretty annoying sometimes but depending on the night I can be a pretty sound sleeper. But I'll say drooling is a little more bothersome

Snoring annoys me as you can't shut them up, and if you tell them about it the next day they tend to deny it (at least my friend did). I can't say that I have shared a bed with someone who drooled, but that might put me out more than the snoring, especially if they drooled in my hair or something.

A little dribbling is natural if your mouth is open a tad, especially if you sleep on your side. It wicks.

But snoring-- i snore, and its a problem. It started about a year ago. I think it has to do with insufficient sleep, but i've turned into a buzzsaw. Whats strange is, it started after I lost a few pounds, rather than after gaining weight, as is the case with most people. As soon as my new job starts and my insurance shifts, i'll be going to a sleep specialist to see if theres anything they can do.

Snoring destroys marriages. Its really really bad. I'm not talking about the cute snoring, im talking about the partner hiding their head under a pillow and contemplating murder bad.

I would hate sharing a bed, rolling over and putting my arm in something wet. The thing that sway my opinion as well is that women aren't big snorers...

Oh snoring definitely. I love my boyfriend to bits (and he doesn't deny he snores and says its sometimes woken even him up), but my sleeping has suffered a lot since. Sure, eventually the amount of disturbed nights catches up to me after a while and I get some sleep but I definitely have to answer snoring is the worse of the two examples.

Unless you fall asleep on someone (which, as a drooler myself, I make sure never to do if I can help it), the only one affected by a wet patch should be you.
