See, I love me porn but theres something REALLY wierd about hentai. Not that I judge anyone who likes it but to me personally its just, erm, unnerving. I guess thats how porn as a whole makes some people feel.

Alright, I'll dignify this with an honest reply, but I concede the matter is subjective psychology. Many women that talk about their lives in porn have talked about having dealt with drug addiction, sexual abuse, mental illness, depression(I guess that would fall under mental illness, but I'm being specific), alcoholism, even suicide. I suggest that this is subjective because two people can each look at a drug addicted hooker and offer two or more distinct thoughts. One being that the ***** brought it on herself, the other being that drugs are a scourge and she's fallen victim to circumstances that went beyond her control. My perspective, in all honesty is that porn serves a purpose, and it's all about how you use it. I know someone who had a child with a man that eventually chose watching porn to being with her and raising their child. In fact, I've known a few people that have succumbed to the allure of fantasy over reality. It's like a gun, in the right hands it's jolly good fun, in the wrong hands it will ruin lives. Subjective, so you be the judge.

It's alright. Not to be taken seriously, but something interesting to observe on occasion. My ex and I used to watch a little here and there, for the laughs, finding porn so cliche in its predictability. But it's all sex, without introducing sexuality, so it's not arousing unless you're looking for a raw, emotionless screw.

Some consider it prostitution, after all the actors are getting paid for sex.

Technically they are getting paid to act in a video/movie/whatever/scene with sex in it. Even then, I can still say soft-core porn which is in no way prostitution.

First of all, prostitution is when (mostly) men pay (mostly) women for having sex with them. In porn the producers or w/e pay the actors (!) for doing their job. Prostitution is a different term.
