I thought that the first Portal was very creepy funny, but this game easily tops it. Especially going through the destroyed Enrichment Center courses and the whole second third of the game. I don't know, the funnier the dialogue gets, the scarier the game becomes. Going through the history of the place, and the out-of-testing areas made the game extremely disturbing.

I am amazed at how well Valve has managed to disturb me while simultaneously making me laugh my ass off. Anyone else agree? Did you find Portal 2 creepy?

What I found creepy was how they could have that many things hidden underground like nothing.

I found it very sad as well as creepy I suppose, Cave Johnson got so sick afterwards when he got older, and Caroline was forced (was she forced though? we may never know) into GLaDoS, also there's a personality core that follows you around. Also the whole situation with Rat Man.

Aperture was built in a massive Salt Mine that stretched through Michigan and Ohio. The salt mine the game is based on is real, and it is really that massive.

I found it to be darkly comedic and kind of creepy but not at all depressing. Overall it's a fairly upbeat game, despite the casual mentions of
gathering homeless people with the promise of $60 IN CASH!, giving them tumors and putting them through incredibly dangerous experiments.

Well, it's fairly upbeat if you have a sense of humor, anyway.

Spoilers inbound.

GLaDOS pretending to call Chell's long-dead parents only to make a voice saying "the parents you are trying to reach do not love you" managed to eclipse the "that's you! that's how dumb you sound!" comment from the first game. Sounds depressing when I type it out like that, but it's one of the funniest things I've ever heard in a game.

Besides,
The ending is happy. If you have a different take on this, you are wrong.

Its really part 2 that gets to me. You're essentially listening to a madman descending into insanity, and forcing atrocities upon everyone in the name of science. Its hilarious, but it doesn't stop it being disconcerting.

Yeah, definitely this. When I first saw that I wanted to grab an actual non-portal gun and put the poor thing out of it's misery...

Creepy, hilarious, and sad.

The Frankencubes were a major factor in this (just look at the poor things shaking D: ), as was Cave's decent into madness, the confirmation that GLaDOS had once been human, and... frankly, I don't find it a happy ending. Well, sort of- GLaDOS certainly got one. Chell's just kind of screwed, I doubt there are any people left, at least where she is.

And poor Prometheus turret, I felt so bad when I realized I didn't save it the first time around.

SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!!!

It was fairly disturbing in some parts. Cave Johnson for example; taking homeless people and making them do tests with the promise of money, and his getting sick and going mad. And how Carolin was made into GLaDOS.

But there's just so much funny things to cover it. Like Wheatly in the first act, the Turret orchestra, and how GLaDOS taunts you about the companion cubes.

Also, i like the CO-op easter eggs in singleplayer. Like in the test chamber where there is no exit so wheatly has to make one, you can clearly see P-body freaking out because the rooms being torn apart.

God i loved it so much.... im in space

The curiosity core makes everything better.

I don't really find it all that creepy which either means I'm desensitized or I've got a fairly weird sense of humor

I can think of 2 parts thats just knocked me back.

The part where Wheatley is being forced into GLaDOS's body with her screaming.

also
After the end boss fight with Wheatley you use a portal to go to the moon and the vacuum is sucking you out but you are holding on to Wheatley who is still attached for dear life. After GLaDOS says you are not coming back you can see the look of terror on Wheatley's face...well eye. He begs you to hold on to him tightly but he is knocked away into space while screaming GRAB ME GRAB ME GRAB ME GRAAAB MEEEEEEEE

The last one bothers me the most.

Mostly no, it was too funny to be creepy. However, Wheatley's Frankenboxes were creepy. The way they looked, the way they moved their legs and bodies, and the sounds they made were just... wrong.

Those Frankencubes, creeped me the hell out. You can tell they're in pain and looking into their eyes gives me the feeling they're trying to say "Kill me, I don't want to live as this".

Carrying them made it worse since they stare at you.

Oh god, I forgot about that one.

I actually teared up at that bit- I really like GLaDOS. And Wheatley was starting to bug me, I really didn't want to plug him in.

Then... hearing her scream like that...

Conclusive proof that 'android hell' is indeed a real place. And she was sent there because of her defiance. Well done, Valve, that was the most depressing/terrifying callback I have ever seen.

That is how I felt too. The way they just jump in one direction, shake and make those noises. Whenever I used them to finish a chamber I wished I could fix them or just do something to help them.
