I care about them in that I think they are absolutely stupid. I really wish the trend would go away. I can't stand missing out on content just because I didn't buy from a certain retailer.

If I'm planning on buying the game anyway then why not get the extras. For example when I pre-ordered BlazBlue: Continuum Shift I got a Noel Nendoroid figurine as a bonus.

Early access bounses: I don't mind/care
Trinkets (like R3's Chimera Teeth Necklace): I don't mind/care
Exclusive Costumes: I don't mind/care
Exclusive Weapons/Armor: Dislike them
Exclusive Missions/Quests: Despise them (even though they usually come out later)
I'm almost sure I left something out. Though these have never affected where I buy my games or what games I buy.

If i know for a fact that I'm going to want to purchase a game day one I always preorder. Although I'll admit my current preorder list is rather long.
