I find, on servers i play on online games, that when there is someone so insanely good that no one else has a chance, they will often be faced with accusations of cheating.
i've rarely been accused of this, and a lot of the time accuse people, mostly because i find it amusing to see people getting worked up about it.
But my point, and the point of the question, is when it comes down to a voteban, does it matter if they are cheating or not, if either way they are ruining the game for the majority of the server by being so good that they leave others no chance?
I make exceptions for players that are fun to chat with, or at least are amusing as they kill people, but for the no-mic supa-pros, if it comes to a voteban decision, i always choose to ban.
what do people think?
edit: to clarify, here's a situation where this came up, ...
I was playing on a 2fort server, and i'm usually a scout, sniper or medic.
This guy logs on, spawns as a scout, and he starts taking out snipers with his pistol, as he crosses the bridge, he is also taking out other characters as well, and our entire team is complaining that something there is wrong. someone spectates him, finds out he somehow has no spread at all on his pistol. but the point i'm raising is that does it matter if he is cheating or not, if he is ruining the game for people, be it by pro skills or by pro hacks, surely what he is banned for is ruining the game, not cheating?
