Recently, when i went on the GAME website, i noticed a special offer if you pre-order or add natal to your wishlist. I saw the ad for it, and im a little bit bedazzled, it seems pretty exciting, but at that moment, i reminded myself of the expectations for the nintendo wii, and just how big a dissapointment it was.

I wonder if there's any point of adding it to my wishlist and (eventually) pre-ordering it.

I hope it'll fail. I don't like the concept, and if you are considering a purchase, I heard it is going to be about $200. Not worth it in my opinion.

To be honest I still don't see much of a difference between this and the Eye Toy for the PS2... And that didn't go down to well if memory serves me right.

The idea is better than the Wii hands down, but I don't really like the Wii that much so I wont get 1

Tbh honest, there arent enough options in the poll, u need one that says "Not Interested in motion-sense control untill they work out how to do force feedback on them." Or something like that.

I have no doubt that it'll be a hit, whether as a flash in the pan or long-term I dont know. Either way, I'm not interested. Motion control aint all that.

A gimmicky follow-the-leader attempt to grab some of Nintendo's market share, nothing more.

If anyone needs me, I'll be over here with my keyboard and mouse proving the superiority of not fixing what ain't broke.

I think it will be awful, AND I own a 360, there is no option for "it will be bad" you need to add one, because right now your only options are "I like Natal" or "I don't like the 360" It's a versus thread with only 1 option.

I'll just wait and see how it turns out. I am not one of those who hate on it because it is new, or because it is something else than a regular controller. It might turn into a great addition to what we already have. Or it might turn into an expensive toy.
Either way, I am eager to see how it turns out.

And about the price that has been set in some stores, which say it will be about 200 dollars... I typed out why that was in another post, but I don't think anyone noticed. Let's see... here it is:

I doubt this ends up to be the price. You have to consider this:
- It seems you can pre-order Natal on those sites, which means they have to put up a price.
- Here in Noway, if you pre-order something, and the price on the item goes up you always pay the price it was set as initially.
- If the price goes down you pay the new price.

So I see this as safeguarding. What if they set the price to 50$ on those pre-orders, and when Natal came out it ended up costing 100$ instead. Those stores would lose 50$ on every purchase.

This is how I think it would work here, and Sweden is our brother.

At the moment it looks like a over-hyped and over priced piece of crap. But i will reserve any opinions until i at least play a few things on it.

Considering I have just this day written a story satirizing Peter Molyneux's presentation at E3 2009? Do I really need to mention how mind-bogglingly fake it was, in addition to how few people will actually wind up waving their arms and legs around like a maniac in order to RELAX after a hard day's work?

A lovely vision of the future. And an even more lovely delusion.

M'eh I'll give it a try. I think it looks pretty good though I haven't made my mind up at such an early stage. Big problem though... I have a shoebox bedroom... extremely small, can barely fit me in it... I can move around a lot and that may pose problems.

I'm looking forward to the PS3 thingy majig too.

The only good thing about Natal is that it's very likely going to bring all my favorite railshooters to the XBLA. (In my opinion at least)

Other than that, I doubt it'll work as well as advertised.
Even if it does, experienced reality of these kinds of party peripherals is commonly one person drunk enough to be playing and the rest sitting around commenting on how ridiculous it looks.

For me, turning/shaking the sixaxis pad is commonly too much activity after working all day, making dinner, doing some housekeeping and finally installing myself on the couch and booting up a game to relax.

I can't judge it yet because I don't have it yet, but I will have to buy one eventually because apparently Fable 3 will use it.

Try asking again when it's been released.
Preferably a couple of months after.

It doesn't look very good, but I'll reserve judgement. Maybe it will show me I was a fool to think it was going to suck, maybe it'll prove me right, I dunno.

Depends on the price, really. Anything much more than $50 and it'll probably bomb. And you don't want to spend extra on hardware no-one is going to use.

Where's the option for both "I have a PC and fuck motion control"?

Just seems like a massive waste.

While I think that Natal is just a attempted money-grab at Nintendo's market, I will at least applaud them for trying something new compared to Sony.

P.S. I'll just be over in the corner playing games on my PC.
