motion control is only done right on the WII its a rip off of the Eye Toy controlers are the standard for over 20 years and I dont see whats wrong with them in short: it can go fuck itself
Waitwaitwait...what? Unless I'm reading this horribly wrong (in which case, all due apologies), you're saying that the Wii did motion control right. Er...have you been using the same console as the rest of us for the past few years?

OT: I'll make my own option, I suppose. "Mediocre and gimmicky," just like its Nintendo predecessor. When the Wii worked, it worked pretty well...when it didn't, which unfortunately was the majority of the time, it was twitchy at best and garbage at worst. That's pretty much what I envision Natal being: neither one extreme nor the other, just erratically good but generally flawed.

well i dont judge before trying out the new idea, however, i dont think from what i have seen rightnow that they have it done right, so until they have like 3D sensor all around the room to catch all your movemens, then i dont think it'll work to its potential

what was the special offer?
Not really much of a special offer but since i have a game card and since I'm a (not really since I bought a faulty copy of ME2 and they couldn't refund me) loyal customer, they mentioned in an email that I would get LOADS of GAME points (I'm not that simple though).

Motion Control can go f**k itself. =)

But the words of Kevin Butler make me want the PS Move.

I voted Couldn't care less, I won't buy it and neither with quite a few others. It'll be a success though due to the millions that will buy it. As long as both Microsoft and Sony with their own motion controller don't forget the original controllers exist aswell as their new fancy motion controllers I'm really not bothered by it.

I bought a 360 so I wouldn't have to use the Wii's shitty controls, so I wont be buying Natal.

Well. The Wii sucks, and it has an input for character movement. This doesn't have either that OR camera control, so a zillion to one says it's gonna suck pretty damned hard.

I don't care what anyone ever comes out with. A gamer will always need some sort of controller. It's unnatural any other way. Natal can be awesome, i don't care. It can fail, I still don't care. If i had to guess i think it'll be lame and start to wear thin a few weeks in or so. But i can't say that for sure because well.. i never played it sooo. Whatever. Nothing will ever replace controllers.

there are verious games on the WII that do motion cotrol right (TCUK Cooking Mama etc.) but I dont see how the PS3 or 360 can top that since they market to a "mature audience"

Couldn't care less.

If it's great, then I'll consider getting it. If it's terrible, then I'll keep on my merry way. That said, I would actually like it to succeed. I think it could really be fun. Not necessarily for me, but for other people perhaps.

It will fail, just like the eyetoy. Considering most big name titles won't work with it (Halo and Gears are impossible to play on it), I don't see many buying it.

Also I'd like to note that in the Milo presentation, while it looks like Milo is looking at the girl doing the demo, from her angle he is looking to her right.

Also, Lol@people still calling them Failboxes, I still own my 360 since Launch, and it still chugs along fine.
ROFL @ the console-tards that think everything is fine cause they are the lucky 48.8% that the PoS actually works for. XD

We won't talk about how the FAILBox 360 was at about 60% failure rate at launch will we? So in fact you are extremely lucky.
To be honest, 40% aren't really "extreme" odds. But yes, going by the l4d2 video, natal will be laggy and inaccurate and only useful as gimmick.

From the same company that can make a game console that does this randomly:

Clearly Natal will be garbage, but the zombies will still buy it, just like they replace every RRoD killed FAILBox they have.
There's a reason behind it you know! Go look it up

I hope it won't fail so my hyped Dad will use it!
