I have just enough points to buy a SNES game on Virtual Console, but can't decide on which one. And yes...I do realize how pathetic I am.

Super Metroid is amazing. Second best Metroid game, behind Prime. [sub]In my opinion. Don't quote me to disagree.[/sub]

Both of them are some of my favorite games of all time.

I say go with Donkey Kong Country 2 or Super Castlevania 4. Both are awesome. Super Metroid is very over-rated IMO.

Super Metroid because it's awesome.
Runner-up is Contra IIIvfor the same reason, but suffers some from being really hard if you don't know what to do.

Super Metroid, love love love love that game! If you haven't played it before, you'll be at it for a good while (no strategy guides mister!), and if you played it way back when, nostalgic blast from the past.

Idk if Final Fantasy IV is an option but it is my favorite game for the snes. And honestly, DKC is better than DKC2 imho. I just like donkey better (and its water levels have the best music ever). So 2nd choice would be DKC1 if you don't already have it.

You should keep saving until you can decide better. My advice is to get the game that suits your playing style.

Super Metroid. The best damn 2D platformer/RPG ever made (in my opinion)... actually my most cherished cartridge. Still works.

Thanks goes out to everybody who's been posting. Super Metroid happens to be one of the ones I was really close to buying. Also confession time...I've never played it. I know, I know. Anyways I'll give this post about another hour and buy whichever one wins the poll (and I don't think it will be Contra or Castlevania). I know you'll are just on pins and needles waiting to see which one wins ha ha ha...God I really am PATHETIC.

No Chrono Trigger?

Would probably have to go Metroid then.
I am very curious about Chrono Trigger, but to be honest I rarely get into turn-based RPGs (with "Earthbound" and "Super Mario RPG" being the only exceptions)

There are no random encounters in it, if that helps swing the balance. That game is truly art and I really recommend it.

Out of your list?

Hmmm...

Super Metroid. Although I like Earth Worm Jim better :D

Super Metroid from that list. Too bad Nintendo will never rerelease Earthbound or I'd say that. Also, Chrono Trigger is awesome. It took me a while to get into Chrono Cross as the gameplay was different but it was good too.

Super Ghouls N Ghosts, Or Super Smash TV, Earthworm Jim or really any Mario game.
Already own "Super Ghouls N Ghosts" and "Earthworm Jim", but thanks anyways. Also speaking of Mario games, where the HELL is "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island" on the Virtual Console? Next to "Earthbound", it has to be one of the most requested games for VC.

I for sure will play it someday (maybe even on the DS), but it just wasn't "calling out to me" today.

Be prepared to sink many, many hours into it.
