Better to save and turn the game off before you rage quit otherwise you may forget to save and could lose everything you have done up to that point.

Adapt, one must.

To overcome an adversary is to prove your superiority to not only them, but all that witness it.

So no, I don't rage quit. I do, however, rage constantly.

Defo worth it imo.
Ok so maybe not so much in multiplayer - though I would advise it if you're liable to do yourself some harm or break something.
But in the campaign especially when going through on Veteran in CODMW2 I had been playing a while and got my ass handed to me on Favella like 20 thousand times. I turned it off angrily and went back to it a few hours later and got straight through it.
A break doesn't hurt if it saves your sanity :)

I very, very seldom ragequit in MP. In SP, sure, it has to be fun. But in MP, it's very rare for me to quit just beause I'm having a hard time.

Hardships are challenges. Am I getting my ass handed to me by the other team? Well, it might suck, but it's a challenge. Is my team a bunch of idiots, that has no concept for the game and it's mechanics? Then I'll have to see how much I can do on my own.

There are many a time where MP sucks, especially on the consoles. But there's nothing more frustrating than having a game end prematurely, just because someone couldn't endure for the 5 minutes it takes to finnish the match. You can't own 24/7. There are people out there who are better than you, and people who are worse. You should learn from the first group, and pass on to the latter. Ragequitting helps noone.

Worth? You have to otherwise you might do something you will regret (you know, like breaking shit). Also some people have told me they do it before they start yelling at the screen like the players can hear them.

It really depends upon what sort of Rage Quit. If it's because your getting griefed by some random grenade chucking asshat who's doing nothing but knifing, then yes, rage quit.

However, If you're just starting from a long hiatus, couple of days away, or just having an off day, go AFK, take a minute to rehype and go back to work.

Endurance is great and all, but when your in the face of some jagoff giving you shit because "My Best friend uses that handle" or "I don't give a shit about the game, I'm just here to have fun" or "I play pro all the time, so I really don't care" then fuck that noise, rage quit.

Yes, but not in front of people. They give you the innevitable "it's just a game, it's not real" talk
Oh yes I remember the talks my parents and I had.
"Its just a game, honey."
"Its not just a game and I'll kill everyone who states otherwise."
"Thats it there will be no more gaming for you!"
"Gah....!"
And then I inevitably stopped playing games in front on people.

Never rage quit, I'm a calm person.

If I'm not enjoying it, I log off and do something else.
If you often find yourself flipping out over games, work on your anger problems.

I 'ragequit' more often than I'd like to admit. But at the end of the day if I feel myself getting CoDRage? or annoyed at a game its best to just drop it and come back later ^_^

Awesome use of a Planescape quote!

I agree with Woem in the sense that it usually pays off to persevere and keep trying, and sometimes, tackling the problem in a different manner usually pays off. I've had a quite a few problems in games over the last few years (who am I kidding, I've been a gamer for nearly two decades now), and I don't recall a single rage quit, not one. Saving the game, and trying to pick it up later also works (with a fresh set of mind).

Since games are about having fun not, pissing you off I'd have to say Rage Quit is best plus It's better if people Rage quit than Rage on the game and scream and yell.

The phenomena colloquially termed "ragequit" is the act of removing one's self mid-session from a video game, or other media, during a stretch of intense frustration. Especially in online games.

Me? I only do it as a last resort to violent glitches or if I encounter persistent lag.
