You can cry whenever you want. I don't believe that I however, should cry unless it is really really called for.

Real men do cry, because it shows you got some depth to your personality. Otherwise you are just a testosterone filled brute.
Some small study said that smaller men are more likely to cry and are more in touch with their emotions and men with big muscles and general physical strength tend to have more testosterone, bigger egos and less emotions...
And crying is good for you, when you let your negative emotions out , Ex. Sorrow and sadness. They wont turn to hate and Rage later on.
I cry alot, I admit it, and I have NEVER hit anyone nor gotten in to physical fight.
How is your sex life?

Women don't tend to go for crybabies.

They tend to want someone that can show emotion, but is more of a rock and less of an emotional basket than they are.

So frequency of crying and the reason for crying is a factor here. Crying for the death of your dog or other family member dying, ok. Crying because the guy got the girl in that movie, probably not so much. Crying on a daily basis, total fail.
I cry for for real things that change my life, example my biggest issue now that I have cried many times is my Rights hand nerve damage that keeps getting worse. You saying that is something I should just hid deep in to my soul and let it rot there? (By soul I mean subconscious mind)
And I got this extremely bad habit of laughing on dramatic scenes on movies, books and games, that have made many movie nights kinda awkward.

And how's my sex life? I am A-sexual, go figure.
I been in few relationships, one of them got destroyed because her mother found out that I was not Jehovas witness. One because the girl just changed to something really bad. But I am happy alone.

Real men don't make a scene. It's one thing to cry in the private company of loved ones or when alone, it's quite another to run down the street, bawling your eyes out, because your girlfriend went to lunch with an old boyfriend....There's a pretty subtle difference.

Real men are manly enough to admit and let out their emotions.

Shame I can't properly do that. Sometimes I really do just want to break down and sob, let it all out instead of balling it up.
