I still play it from time to time, especially on multiplayer. Super Smash brothers and Mario Kart are as fun as ever.

Although it's sort of a strike against it that I play my N64 more than I do the Wii.
But you're a recovering Ocarina of Time Addict..
Who said I was recovering?
..Touché. You should totally make a lets play of it

I would get it, but my love of Mario does not justify that I really dont need another system.

I bought a Wii for myself several months after it came out. I regret the decision. I never play it, and I gave it plenty of chances. I own a total of three games "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess", "Super Mario Galaxy" and "Super Paper Mario". The only one of the three that held my interest was Paper Mario, but how many times can I play through that?

Maybe it's the low-def graphics, or the motion controls that frustrate me (I'm too old-school to now waggle my arms at the screen just to play a game), but Wii games don't excite me. I play the heck out of my Xbox 360 and DS Lite, so I know it's not the current generation of games. I really liked my GameCube too, so I know it's not Nintendo's console game lineup.

Don't mean to rant, but I don't ever recall regretting a video game system before. Well, maybe the Atari Lynx, but that's in retrospect. I liked it plenty when I was younger.

I got it for my wife for Christmas since it's about the only system with games she's very interested in (Zelda, Mario related stuff, etc.) and it does make for a fun party machine. Everyone can play Wii Sports or Rayman without being really into gaming. If I wanted to play four player on my Xbox the players need to be familiar with shooter controls, fighting games, etc. and some of those things have a steeper learning curve than most of us remember.

Bought mine a few months after release because I wanted to try Red Steel. Bought a few games for it, but if any console's overpriced its the Wii.

Played it for 2 months, owned it for 6-8, sold it.

It was the only one that I was going to get for Christmas. Besides, my friend brings his PS3 over all the time anyways. And my PC is where 90% of my games are.

I can honestly say that I want a Nintendo Wii, just holding out in case a HD one comes out...

I got mine for Christmas, but I actually wanted it for the few months that it was out before then. I've always been a fan of Nintendo (and multiple other developers), and that's not about to change.
This.
And the inevitably of a Mario Kart. I'm a sucker for those games.

where's the "because I'm a moron" option? Because that's why I bought it. I thought it'd be fun, and in the end, it was just one big disappointment for me.

At Uni I played a whole load of smash bros and mario kart. Its a real wake up call when after 6 weeks of playing it you get a message saying you've played 1000 games... I saw it as a challenge XD

Plus Zelda, Fire Emblem, RE4 (Wii version is the best). The Wii has some amazing games, just not enough for it to be my main console.

The reasons i got my wii i was 10 i think and zelda tuned me into a nintendo sheep and the more useless things that come out for the wii the happier i will be when the good games come out
