This a million times.Monkfish Acc. said:I'm not religious, but I am one hundred percent certain there is a God.
I just have my own idea about what God is.
An idea that I refuse to push on anyone else unless they ask.
And even then it's hard to put into words.
I was about 9 years old, took dimetapp. I became incredibly hyper, running around the house for about 15 minutes. I then took a nap, falling asleep almost instantly on the couch of the living room. My parents tried to wake me when I started breathing funny, not knowing that I had just fallen into a coma due to my inability to process the medication. A minute later my heart stopped. My father, who was trained for CPR since he was in the military and whatnot, performed CPR and revived me after being legally dead for about 20-30 seconds.Cavouku said:Cool, what happened? A complete asshole thing to say. Really dude, do you mean this? How can you morally say that?UsefulPlayer 1 said:This a million times.Monkfish Acc. said:I'm not religious, but I am one hundred percent certain there is a God.

Some religions are too bullshit and science is too...convenient? This world even.
The world is unfair, there are starving people in Africa, corrupt politicians, there are high schools, flowers, World Wars, hormones, snowflakes, drugs, internet, beautiful girls, books, movies, video games, gravity holding everything together...
Just seems like it was meant to be this way.
Oh, yeah, I heard about that chemical before. Very potent and such. Though, I don't know if that's entirely countable as saying you've experienced the afterlife and all, but it's an interesting story none the less.Cliff_m85 said:I was about 9 years old, took dimetapp. I became incredibly hyper, running around the house for about 15 minutes. As I was dying I saw beautiful colors swirling about, very vivid. I would say 'immediately they were gone' but that doesn't even explain what nothingness is. I researched years later what had happened and found that my brain pumped out a chemical to calm me as I lay on the couch dying.
So yeah, no more dimetapp for me.
Ah? Please go on, (I'm not trying to sound sarcastic, I'm curious), why do you feel this way?blue_guy said:Especially if your not religous.Cavouku said:Is 2, but does it count if I'm not religious?blue_guy said:I get very irritated by people at 3 or below.
Nah, not entirely countable since I didn't experience an afterlife. I just experienced death. Glad I know what it'll be like though, since it's absolutely not frightening.Cavouku said:Oh, yeah, I heard about that chemical before. Very potent and such. I don't see why, just because someone believes in god, doesn't mean he is inferior to anyone else. I don't care what your religious belief is, you'll irritate me if you try to force it on others (yes, forcing atheism on people is no different than them trying to force religion on you, it's annoying and rude)blue_guy said:I get very irritated by people at 3 or below.

Its a personal relationship with God. Cant say that my relationship with my friends is a religion, can you?GodsOneMistake said:gotcha, no problem.... I was just curious about how someone could have that kind of belief, not religious but believe in a god I mean... It's very interesting to me

Mm, glad to know. I still think that if this afterlife is as ethereal and spiritual as is usually portrayed, maybe our minds will be completely un-bored or something.Cliff_m85 said:Nah, not entirely countable since I didn't experience an afterlife. Wars have been about two main things; wanting others to be like you, and wanting something you don't have. Wars would happen whether the world was Atheist or not... See SouthPark episode "Go God Go"destroyer2k said:I don't belive in god and I would ban religon as a lot of terorism and wars was becouse of religion.
You could say that this isn't true but the evidence are clear in my favor.
And the worst religon is cristianity (and muslims) as they have a lot of money for what telling people if you will belive and support us you will go to heaven (yes this still is common for a prest to say).
You do realise that there is also no proof that there is no God?blue_guy said:I get very irritated by people at 3 or below.
"I believe in God, I have no proof and I don't have to show it to you" - someone needs to have there naivety sucked out.
Um, what? Can't know for certain? Have you ever given Him the chance to prove His existence to you or are you just so skeptic that you aren't willing to give Him the chance? Thats like saying you can't prove I exist, because you really can't. You can assume as I am posting but really I could just be a really intelligent bot... Or you can go off the opinion of others that claim to have met me, but really you can't prove that I exist.blue_guy said:I for one am probably at 5.75. We can't know for certain whether he exists, and therefore I act as though he doesn't. But there is a chance of there being some sort of higher being.
