Poll: religon: a 7 point scale

this is a scale of beliefs regarding a theist god, i was just wondering where everyone is decimal points are fine. ill start by saying 6.75ish.

please before you post, remeber this is the internet so people will disagree with you and try not to let yourself become aggressive of people views and i know thats sounds patronizing but thats how these thread normally end.

Obviously not all will feel as I do, and that's fine. I'm not hear to preach to anyone about anything.

floating between 6 and 7 here. I went with 6 mostly because I don't adhere to an absolute certainty concerning anything. That is basically the point at which one stops learning and might as well be dead as far as I'm concerned.
It breeds stagnation and needless acceptance.

this may be the first time i have ever seen a decent poll on these forums. it's sad to see that it doesn't have a decent theory to back it up with. i'm either in the very middle of the scale or completely off. i don't see a belief or disbelief towards any god; i have my very own religion.

i fink its quite common actually, people believe that there is a god but each religion is wrong in a certain way i.e hallal meat or the opposition of abortion. some eventually find a comfortable one or just go on with the knowleadge that there is a god.

Did you get this scale from The God Delusion? I remember seeing something extremely similar.

Anyway, I object to placing agnostics as simply being halfway between atheism and theism. Agnosticism deals with the knowledge of gods existance. Agnostics believe that we currently cannot know whether god exists or not. Gnostics believe that it is possible to know that god does (or does not) exist.

It's entirely possible to be both atheist and agnostic. In my case, I think there is a very high chance that god does not exist, due to lack of evidence. However, I do not think anyone can know for certain that God does/doesn't exist. Therefore, I am an atheist agnostic.

edit: for the record, I voted 6. I think 100% certainty either way is foolish, but I would still place myself as 6.99999999... I remain open.
