As for the acne, I personally use soap to shave with so do not know about shaving creams.
Did that sound as badass when you wrote it as it did when I read it?

Soap? Really? That works? Damn

I shave after I take a shower. I don't like the hot water on my face after it's freshly shaven.

I always shave before a shower. Why? Because I can shower of the assloads of facial hair getting stuck on my body hair.

I shave when it's come to the point where my disgusting, patchy, teenage facial hair is too noticeable to go out in public with. So the shower is kind of irrelevant.

I shave my legs in the mornings. That way they can be smooth throughout the day.
My boyfriend shaves his face in the mornings too.
It's just a good way to keep your face as smooth as possible while you are awake.

I pretty much just use water. Warm water to open up the pores and damp down the hair, cold water at the end to close them up. And I shave with the electronic razor before a shower, since you have to, so as not to break it with wet hair, and use a normal razor afterwards.

Because I'm mostly content to wander around my daily life looking like a tramp (I'm a student, 'nuff said) I just trim it a couple of times a week with the back bit of my electric shaver, so whether I do it before or after a shower makes no difference whatsoever. But, for the record, it's generally left for the very last moment before I go to bed because I only notice it needs a trim when I'm in front of the mirror brushing my teeth.

Soon, very soon. The moustache I've begun to grow makes me look kinda Mexicany (I may have worded that wrong, but I couldn't really think of a better way to word it) And if I let the moustache actually fill out it will make me look like a porn star.

So I will be shaving very soon, don't have a set preference for shaving on average yet, but it will probably when I start to look scruffy.

Back when I shaved I shaved in the shower.

Do you really need one? I did just fine shaving without, and used my hands to feel if I missed anything.

Always in the shower with no mirror, if you can't feel the bits that need work you shouldn't be shaving yourself anyways

I usually shave right after a shower, before I step out I put my face directly under the head for about 10 seconds on the hottest I can tolerate, I then shave with the grain using shaving cream. Then running the blade under a hot tap, I slowly go against the grain. I finish off by washing everything off in cold water.

Given the choices, shaving after the shower is generally the best way to go.

Before the shower it's generally just a bit harder to get the job done with a manual razor. During the shower, even with a mirror, it can be difficult to figure out what kind of job you're doing. I mean, it's easy to get MOST of the hair without ever looking in a mirror, but withotu some sort of visual aid I generally have to resort to additional strokes to ensure I don't leave any patches behind.
