Every time I go camping and hike a mountain, I bring my DS and play just a couple minutes of some game at the summit. Unfortunately I've only hiked Mt. Lassen since I've started this, but it's twice now that I've played a game at the top. I'm probably the only person to play Elite Beat Agents at the peak of Mt. Lassen.

whenever a new game comes out I play through it's prequels again if I own them. Did this for Crysis Warhead, MW2, Farcry 2, All the Dawn of war expansions (campaign of course)

I do this with books too.

Ok, so I saw a guy do something like what I did a while back (in a thread about killing people you hated, if I'm not mistaken?) and I just couldn't help but try it. I'm sorta disappointed to tell the truth, he got more replies like this than me =P. I'm sorry tho, to all three of you and everyone else that was affected by my post, I'll do my evil experiments elsewhere in the future. Those that know me and those who have seen me post before know I'm not like this, one time only I promise! So can we hug, kiss and make up? =)

We did have a thread discussing useless polls being used to draw people to a thread tho, and isn't this sort of a good example? I mean, the poll itself is as useless as my post, if not more?

I've got a few "rituals" I perform every year.
But I'll just list one.

Once every year at any particular time I feel like it..
I play through Powerstone 2's adventure mode. On difficulty 8.
I love that game.

OMFG!! Someone knows that game!! You still play it on the Dreamcast? I remember back in the day, 4-way FFA between my brother, my cousins and I. Man, if any franchise deserves a modern revival, Powerstones is right up there. Fuck, I miss Jack-the-Ripper.

im always playing Oblivion, every time i try to run away from it, i get the urge to raise the difficulty bar 10 more notches, until the point where i have the best equipment happens. that game is EVIL! EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL!!!!

So I'm about to start what has become a yearly ritual, playing through the whole Jak and Daxter series(Jak x doesn't count). Since Jak 3 came out i have been beating all three jak games in a row every year, not because i have to but just because the urge hits me.(the urge being brought on by Borderlands) I sometimes revisit old games like the kingdom hearts series and the Ace combat series, but none can truly hold a candle to jak and dax.

So anyone have something that has become a gaming ritual over the years? Whether it be from something you do for every gaming session or once a year.

Hmm... Well, I play through Baldur's Gate 2 about every six months with a new mod installed. I suppose it shouldn't bother me that the BG2 file directory is now almost 3 GB. Oh, and a run through the Halo series on single player about once a year.
