More seriously, I don't know what you just said.

Yup, that's pretty much what's gonna happen. Activision announced that drum peripherals and a microphone will be shipping with the next Guitar Hero game - http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=134009fsanch said:Clearly Rock Band was the next evolutionary step in this particular genre of games, so I'd have to give the nod to it. Unless Guitar Hero innovates some features into their releases they're going to become nothing more than the same gameplay with different songlists slapped onto it.
In before "GH4 copied RB" claims.RB copied Guitar Hero in first place(yes I know it's made by the same dev) so don't make a big deal out of it.Strafe Mcgee said:Yup, that's pretty much what's gonna happen. But Rock Band will be better. When it eventually arrives in Britain with that staggering price.
Wasn't planning on it. I think that Rock Band, since it's made by Harmonix will probably be better since Guitar Hero 3 didn't have the same feel as the other two. Neversoft couldn't quite emulate the feeling of playing songs as well as the other games in the series by Harmonix, so I assume that Rock Band's going to be better.JakubK666 said:In before "GH4 copied RB" claims.RB copied Guitar Hero in first place(yes I know it's made by the same dev) so don't make a big deal out of it.Strafe Mcgee said:Yup, that's pretty much what's gonna happen. If you were designing a game like Rock Band, would you pick songs that were well-recieved and popular or songs that are random and generally obscure? For example, if I had to pick a song from RHCP's Stadium Arcadium album, it wouldn't be Dani California, but She Looks to Me. That's my favorite song on the album, but I don't think anyone else would know it. Certainly not the average RB buyer. And like I said before, I think they engineered the songs to appeal to everyone who picks up an RB controller.gmer412 said:I love Rock Band. Everything about is better except the song list. I detest pop songs. If RB had a better song list, I would praise it as the second coming.
Paranoid isn't a "poppy" song. It's pretty dark. "I tell you to end your life." And besides, Iron Man and War Pigs were already used in previous Guitar Heroes. Reptilia is used in Guitar Hero III. Also, a lot of songs in Guitar Hero III use "the same riff." The Sunshine of Your Love that you mentioned is mostly one riff throughout the entire song. When You Were Young, Anarchy in the U.K., and My Name is Jonas all use "the same riff." And Raining Blood is a song I don't want to play, only due to the difficulty.Jackpot said:Guitar hero.
Songs have more gameplay, Rock band songs are the popier, simpler songs the bands have put out.
Examples :
tom sawyer
Epic
the hand that feeds
Paranoid
After that, most of the other songs are pop songs anyway (maps, learn to fly, in bloom (partially) ,reptillia, here it goes again, creep). Yes, these are pop-rock songs, but they are still pop songs.
There are very few songs that I would rate as "awesome" songs to play, That come with the disc. Enter sandman, and run to the hills.
I am not going to buy a £90 - £70 product (assuming I only buy the disc and the drums, since I have the guitar, and I am not going to pay £40 to sing. I can do that with the song and a lyric sheet, which is free) so I can play 2 songs.
the downloadables are good, but even then, they aren't the right songs by the band. They released a judas priest album, but Painkiller would have been the only one I'd want. (I'm a masochist that way). I'd get sweet leaf, working man, march of the pigs, greatful dead pack, beetoven C#, and supernaught.
That's still 16 songs, and 14 of them, I have to pay extra.
There's also very little variety, or interesting songs. It's always the same riff. It's like a job.
Guitar hero 3 had a lot more variety (from rain blood to sunshine of your love and black magic woman) and previous titles had other really good and varied pieces in them (jessica, primus)
Agreed, Paranoid isn't a poppy song. Being well-known doesn't make a song Pop in my book (although I know Pop stands for popular). Anyway... it's not "I tell you to end your life", it's "I tell you to enjoy life"REDPill357 said:Paranoid isn't a "poppy" song. It's pretty dark. "I tell you to end your life."
