I think I would.
The adrenaline alone would be amazing.

I hope I would, but I'd have to spruce up the courage for a bit.

I sort of stared at this for a second thinking "there has to be something here I'm missing." Then I remembered that it's a Darwin award.

I definitely wouldn't, mainly because I don't really care for money.

Heres what I do. The moment before I pull the trigger I aim it at the guy and rob him. There I just made 500 million with my life still in hands.

If thats not a option then... eeeh sure why not. Then I would learn is reincarnation is real. But if it isint theen

No

for 500 million i'd never have to work ever again
and with a 5 out of 6 chance i live i don't think i can pass up the chance to be that rich
and even if i fail, chances are that i won't even realise by the time it's too late
It's not 5-6

It's 1 in 6, then 1 in 4, then 1 in 2
yes i know that WOULD be the case if you had to pull the trigger any more than once
but the wording in the OP implied you only had to pull the trigger once
hence 5 to 1 chance

I can just count how many times he cycles the cylinder before I pull the trigger, can't I? (I can).

But yeah, color me interested--death is hardly something worth freaking out over, and $500M is a pretty big wad of cash.

Hell yes.
My life is pretty crappy, but would improve immeasurably with $500 million. So, it's pretty much a one in six chance of death, which wouldn't bother me, against a five in six chance of my life getting much much better and being able to do all the things I've dreamed of. I like those odds. :D

I'd do it ONLY if I truly have needed the money. And that would only be if I couldnt get a job and was just flat out poor.

At this point in time no, but if I was desperate, yes I mean do we both pull the trigger till one of us are dead or just one time?

If i was homeless than i probably would. plus i was doing russian roulette with a nerf gun with me and my friends and i surprisingly won.
Trick is to not expect it and be calm.

You know, with modifications, you could do that:

The players deliver one shot at each other, the magazine is loaded by someone else beforehand with blanks and one real bullet that get mixed before the loading... then you could play Russian Roulette with a semi.

OT: Hmm... probably yes. Maybe I would throw in a "If I wind up dead, my family gets 100 million" or something like that just to make sure... but as of now, seeing that I'm single and would leave noone behind I have to care about... yes I'd do it.
Even with blanks loaded the force from a gunshot can kill you if it's close enough to your head.

Good gods that's a hard choice. That's a one in six chance that I kick the bucket. And having rolled many a d6 I know how little that chance can be. But then of course I also know how when you go "anything but a one" it seems 150% more likely for you to roll a one. And 500 million is a lot of money. But I don't think it's enough for the risk.

You know what, if you would make it so that I would never have to worry about money again and that I was set for life, sure I'd do it. There's always that chance that the bullet is in the cylander, but if not I'm good.

Hmmmm... blanks, you say? You do realise that blanks are just as dangerous as real bullets at close range? You know the illusionist Derren Brown, when he did his Russian Roulette stunt a few years ago? On the TV special where he played it, live, during the bit where it was telling you about all the preparation and stuff he did, it had the armourer along with Derren and the people who were competing for the chance to load the bullet and watch the game live. The armourer showed them how using a blank bullet instead of a real one to trick the audience watching at home would be a complete waste of time. He loaded a blank into a revolver and shot a plastic bottle from close range. The top of the bottle was blown off and there were perfect entry/exit holes on each side of the bottle.

Oh, and I've sat in a room where blanks were being fired before (my parents used to be into the 'country and western' scene, and during shooting competitions using blanks to shoot balloons, I ended up once sitting near the guns as they were fired, and it really stung my ears until I moved away...).
