I prefer to give people pleasure and not receive pain in return... as far as I was aware, that was normality.

Um, neither? I don't like getting hurt, and I don't like hurting others. I just like building things and making people laugh. Is that really so abnormal?

I like to do a bit of both, honestly. I don't like to REALLY hurt people. Only if they lead me to doing that.

Sexually, I'm usually pretty tame, but I can be a sadist if my partner is into that sort of thing (current one is). Outside the bedroom... total, 100% masochist.
So... depends on my mood.

Well, I am a bit of a masochist but not sexually. I use it to vent. I kind of have a bad temper, and sometimes to keep myself from hurting other people, I hurt myself. Usually, I burn myself because it's pretty easy to control how much you want to inflict on yourself with that. It's really easy to make up stories for why you have a burn, too.

Occasionally, I go for the razor. The sight of my own blood seems to have a calming effect on me. It's harder to explain why you have razor cut, though. So I only do it on my face so I can say I cut myself shaving. I know that sounds dumb, but people believe what they want to believe.

I've never engaged in either Sadism, masochism or sado-masochism, though I do enjoy switching between being submissive, love bites, being "passionately seized" and restrained by my partner, to being dominant, "taking charge", and rough. It's consensual of course, and he rather enjoys the later more than the former!

In a strange way, even when I dominate him, he still has control over me in a sense (psychologically speaking) and it's a fun little cat and mouse game we play in that arena ;)

EDIT: I don't like "pain" per say, nor would I feel right inflicting pain on someone else unless they were (safely) into that sort of thing. I do like bondage and psychological/physical submission-domination.

I'm into S&M and I usually take the dominant role. I don't really enjoy pain, but sometimes I like being mentally submissive.

Being clientele to a dominatrix is more in my line, but being a big bloke I could probably make my own income being the sadist type, or one of those weird wrestling-masked wrestlers who wrestle for payment--but that'd be odd for me, and I don't know if I could do it proper. Been a while since I've used the word 'wrestle' more than four times in a single sentence anyway. I need to get back into coaching.

**Hmm, 42 Sadist votes? That's an awfully large number of wife-beaters for "escapists".

Leaning a bit sadistic... what kinds of adorable noises can you get out of someone, one way or another? :D
