Poll: Saints Row Or GTA

What I don't understand is how a game with so much genious and work put into it, that still remains a classic today (GTA 4) can be over thrown by a copy cat game..that well exists plainly on copying GTA...what I find hard to believe is how people can find throwing shit into people's faces soooo entertaining that they favour the whole game over gta 4...now don't get me wrong..Saints row 2 is one of my fave games...but I think Gta 4 is more deserving of the better game title.

Just wanted to hop off my horse long enough to grab a shot of whiskey, pick up some ammo, and say Red Dead Redemption.

Agreed, not to mention "Dead Eye" some bandits. If I were to recommend one of the games listed, it would probably be GTA 3. I think it would be 4 just because you don't get aggravated having to with the story progression just to go play pool or something. Cool concept (the cell phone) but annoying execution. I'd rather play the silent character from GTA3.

That's because some people will pay and enjoy anything that, as Moviebob puts it "haha, fat guy fall down and go boom".

Saints row 2, I had so much fun playing that game, I enjoyed it more than any of the GTA games I've ever played, theres just something so right about dressing you character in a suit and spraying poo all over buildings (and yes I know that from the ZP vid, but damnit its fun)

Saints row 2 all the way, mainly because it was actually fun. Riding flaming quad bikes or jumping infront of traffic as 'insurance fraud'? Brilliant!

GTA4 on the other hand had a weak story and even weaker controls.

I played GTA 3,4 and the DLC but When I played Saints row 2 I got blown away by just how Bad-ass your character is and how much I just love the game so what is you Favorite. And sorry for putting GTA 1 AND 2 together and all the not numbered GTAs like San Andras are in the DLC option just because ok.

What about scarface it was so much better than saints row 1 and 2 it was also much better than any of the gtas.

For some reason, i just thought SR2 was a bit dull - Im not saying it was bad, i like the game, but i just dont think it was THAT good.

Incidentally SR1 was great, and if they optimise their product a bit if there's an SR3, itll be a much better product.

But out of these choices, I'm going to have to go against Rockstar now. I would recommend Saint's Row 2 over any of these choices. There was more to do. It was colourful. There was more customisation. It was over the top. It was just a brilliant game. I had a lot more fun with it than I had with any Grand Theft Auto game.

I have never played the Saints Row games, though I have heard a lot of good things about them. I was initially going to vote for GTA: San Andreas but that isn't an option. ='(

With the options available, I'd have to say Saints Row 2 just because of the good things I have heard about it.

I have to go with GTA4.

I loved the first Saint's Row and was really looking forward to the sequel, but without realizing it the graphics in GTA4 had already spoiled me, making the graphics in SR2 look like cardboard.

Plus, I think they went a little overboard with the customization thereby giving up the more solid look and structure of the first game.
