Event Horizon.

If a guy speaking Latin after carving his face AND holding his eyeballs in his fucking hands ain't freaky, I don't know what is
I'd usually agree, but for some reason when I saw that movie I thought that the whole thing was actually funny.

I was actually laughing out loud at the line: "We won't need eyes where we're going."
I thought it wasnt scary either. But ill be damned if the cgi wasnt cool

OT: I dont know of any movies that have actually scared me. There was this one movie Audition that freaked me out a bit though.

I can scare you without it being a movie or game.

No matter what you do in life, no matter how many people you surround yourself with, remember that those people are selfish, maybe they don't show it, but everything they do is for their own gain, and you can love whoever you want and still end up unmarried and unhappy, and you will always die alone, regardless of if someone else is there or not.

Bummed me out a little, but didn't scare me. Then again, my mind just went to monty pythons "always look on the bright side of life" which I think just automatically gives me a sort of immunity to that statement of yours. Woo, clear indications of insanity for the win sir.

Tell you what does scare me though, the fact that those people who made the scary movies, date movie, meet the spartans etc still make money.

Chills me to the bones.

I have to exact same problem. Is there some way I'm not seeing of ignoring the fact that you are just looking at a screen? I guess it could just be a focus thing. Movies bore me to tears so I always look something for something else to do while I'm watching. Games are better, but even they have trouble holding my attention. I'm actually playing Just Cause 2 in between glancing over at my computer.

Like what others have said, either Silent Hill 2 or Penumbra. If you own Thief 3(?) There's a level called The Cradle, which was amazingly scary. Probably the finest horror level I've ever played.

As for movies... well, no movies have ever scared me.

If you have Half-Life, you need to ply the mod Afraid of Monsters DC.

Parts of that scared the hell out of me.

Also scary are Mistake -1 and Paranoia.

For an old engine, it sure can be creepy.
