Poll: Scars. Annoying little things or things of badassness?

I got scars... in my eyes
Well, they aren't actual injuries, just the way my eyes are... but it still looks badass. Especially the red ones (I have green eyes).
But strangely, I've never gotten a permanent scar, altough I had some nice injuries. I guess I'm with Wolverine on this one.

I have a rather large scar on my left check from when i got into a knife fight with some drunk dude who i tried to calm down. he was screamin' about all sorts of things and i was the Bouncer-Type person at that certain pub. i didn't work there but my friend's brother owns the place so i kinda look after it when im not at work.

And on my back i have whip marks from this one time when i got REALLY F-ING DRUNK. i mean i was so hammerd i think the person who invented beer all those thousands of years ago was feeling a little buzzed. so i was drunk and somehow i got tied to a wall(i trully can not rememeber why) so my friend comes along and he's as drunk as me. and he sees that im drunk so he goes into the next room and gets his Cat-O-Nine Tales. and so for shits and giggles he whipps me like 3 times. so i got a couple of whip mars on my lower back.

I have some minute scars on my foot area; I think one is from a nail I stepped on as a child. Then there's an obvious concave discoloration on my right forearm, reminding to not slide down handrails while intoxicated. The latter one makes for a decent story.

I have a whole bunch of scars but two are my most noticeable ones. One came from when my father dropped me on my face, it's on my chin, and the other came from when I accidentally ran into a plank of wood when I was four or three. It's across my left eyebrow.
My brothers have better scars though. One has an X on his forehead from when he rammed his bike into a tree, and his forehead hit the screw on his crossbars. My other brother has a scar on his right arm and left eyebrow from when my cousins dropped a railway tie on his face and arm.
I think that it depends on the person. If a happy go lucky kind of person runs around showing off a scar people will think they got it from something stupid. But if it's a quiet, mysterious person, people will think it's cool.

im not going to lie to you, my friend is a little freaky. you know. he's into that whole liking to get my ass handed to me while having sex.

If I could be bothered to come up with interesting stories for them, I could make them impressive. As it is, they're just... there. Pretty boring really.

I have one just above my eyebrow from smacking my head on a chair leg as a toddler and a big one half the length of my forearm from an accident involving a window and three severed tendons. Several others too, but none that you'd really be likely to notice.

I hate my scar

It was when I was hit in the leg with in ax (i'm fine now of course)
it's just it's a very faint white line on my shin, not a big ol manly scar
thank goodness that that ax was dull, or else I wouldn't have a foot

I don't like my scars, they aren't at all badass, I have one from face-planting into a toilet bowel as a child (it is on my eyebrow) and I have three little ones from appendicitus, not exactly from daring escapes or anything.

Scars are meant to be something to remind you of your past "mess-ups". You learn from them and wear the mark of your mistake for the rest of your life, scars aren't meant to be a source of pride or a sense of accomplishment.

I was looking at mine while having my shower today. Alot of us have them, if we like them or not however, is a differnet story entirely.

Personally I don't like my scar on my arm, it's two linear lines and where I got them? I'm too ashamed to say.

Linear arm scars? Sounds kinda like the scars on my shoulder from when I was...wait.

I guess scars are ok. I have self inflicted scars (subtle), surgical scars (several. One is half a foot long), and a scar under my lip from a pretty bad injury when i was younger.

None of them look very cool, but they give me somehting to talk about and the big surgical ones still hurt me and ache sometimes, but show them off when im boating about being tough.

So lets recap: My scars not so cool.

I don't really think it was aliens. Its a joke. People who get abducted or people who talk to others who have been abducted say that they have unexplainable scars on their body as a hint that they abduct them, perform experiments on them (which in turn scars them) and put them back on Earth.

Oh, and before you think I'm a believer of that, I'm not. I think aliens exist but they don't abduct us. In fact I don't think they come to Earth at all.

Gahhh I hate mine.. They are horrid =[ I would do anything to get rid of them. They are horrid reminders of what people have done to me and what I've done to myself... BUT I like on from when i broke my ankle trying to skate .<

Hmm time to list some of my scars (all accidental or surgical :\ and i have around 21 of them).

I have two 6 inch scars from heart surgury, one dead centre in my chest (a la Chev Chelios in Crank 2, so that's badass) and the other round my left shoulder blade (which sort of looks like a shark bite shape) which combined i made people in school (when i was young...) believe it was a tiger attack or shark... plus below each there are two cross scars from the drainage tubes... but the real story is still badass as i was born with a hole in my heart that saved my life (as the main aorta was narrowed to non-existance).

well I have assorted other scars that vary in badass severity... from grazing my thumb with a huge hammer, to a scar on my chin from being kicked by a chav in an attack upon myself, and a noticable circle scar on my wrist from being stabbed by my friend with a pencil... but yeah tons of them
6 on my hands (including the pencil incident)
5 on my head and face
6 on my chest and back
and others i can't recall as i'm tired
