As I've spent my time on this here glorious Escapist, I've seen many people comment on their wide and varied sexualities. Recently, however, a particular poster commented that he believed that there were only a few LGBTQIAAWTFBBQ Escapistians [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums].

On this site though? How many gay people would you find on this relatively small site.

At this point, the scientist in me decided to have a looksie.

Sadly, before we can get to the bubbles, robots and explosions, I need to lay out a few definitions:

Spoiler: Boring Definitions...

Male & Female: If you aren't transgendered, your mama didn't raise no fool. If you are transgendered, pick the one you identify as.

Straight: you want sexytimes with those of of the opposite gender.

Bisexual/Pansexual: you want sexytimes with those of either gender. Sorry those who want sexytimes with Pans, there are only 8 poll options so you had to be lumped with the boring bisexual peoples.

Homosexual: you want sexytimes with those of your gender.

Asexual: you do not want sexytimes, with those of your gender or any other.

Other: you enjoy sexytimes that are far more epic than those of your "normal" fleshy brethren. Explain your awesomeness to the public in the comments.

Well, I'd actually prefer to separate them FOR SCIENCE, but sadly I only got eight options. I felt that there was a need to have "Other" available, and I also figured it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for an impromptu study to lump guy and gal asexuals together.

Assuming a decent sample size, the poll results here will be interesting.

Nice to see you Topaz, and that's what I hope.[footnote]If successful, it would also serve as a rough guide to the Male to Female ratio on the forums.[/footnote] I'm also glad I managed to fix the poll without the internet exploding. Sadly, at this point there is far too little data to form any sorts of conclusions. Hopefully this thread will get some more attention after I wake up.
