This is my sentments, just not as aggressive. Michael Cera always plays the same exact charater, and nothing else and he doesn't even do it that well. If you want to see pretentious nerd art then scott pilgram. If you want to see mindless fun and laughable horror then piranha.

It's directed by Edgar Wright, director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, some of the best comedies in the last 2 decades. If anyone can get an ounce of acting quality out of Michael Cera it's him.

There seems to be a great devide on the interwebs between those who adore the movie, call it a master piece and the best comic adaption ever, and those who latch on to the current hipster backlash and get into a fit. It especially irrataits me on this forum, partly because I expect better from the people here, but mostly because it's a movie devoted to retro gaming and geekdom in general. Chances are it's designed for you.

Personally, I have never cared for 3D, as it's only an effect, and doesn't really add anything to the movie.

Have you seen the ads for Piranha 3D? if you did you must have noticed that it's one of the dumbest horror films in awhile. Honestly it feels like it's an element of 80s horror shlock which it just might be. Scott pilgrim is an acquired taste. reviews aren't really faithful with being glowing or condemming. But if you look at a few you may see what that you might like it. You can always not go to the movies and wait till they show up on dvd redbox etc.

Terrible horror movies I can take, I've seen a whole bunch of them lately. Like some low budget irish zombie movie, though that movie was awesome for the scene where the heroine kills a zombie using her high heels, but still. Scott Pilgrim is... Ugh, I've read the comics, and from what I gather, the movie uses the same sort of writing, and that just gets me insanely off about it.

I agree, if you care at all about the comics industry and movie industry and don't want to see it full of badly written and drawn books and movies that aim at the hipster demographic that the success of Scott Pilgrim will bring about, see Piranah.

i hated that movie with a passion, it doesnt deserve a reopen, it fucking sucked, id rather watch platinum dunes(Michael bay) ruin another movie(r.i.p nightmare on elm street) than see avatar again, i enjoyed watching the almost genocide of those blue Indians, i cried when they didnt get wiped out.
