With the knowledge you possess today, if given an ultimatum where the choice of one would forever exclude the other; What would you choose to have?

Being able to love someone for the rest of your life, but not being able to experience sex, ever again?

Or being able to experience and have sex, achieving pleasure and perhaps closeness, but never being able to truly love? (This includes masturbation and intercourse. You would, in laymans terms, not be able to achieve erection or an orgasm).

Which one would you pick, and why?

Me? Seing as I have experienced both, I would say I would go with love. Sure, love can be heartbreaking, but it's also a wonderful feeling, sometimes fleeting, but otherwise everlasting.

..........What?

This poll is just ridiculous....

They are not mutually exclusive, in my experience.

I have a feeling experience is something in short supply here.

Love, for exactly the same reason you had. I have found that love keeps life more interesting and unpredictable while sex usually made it more bland and predictable. :]

Best. Avatar. Ever, OP xD.

Err...well their best served together...
But I've found that loveless sex isn't terribly enjoyable.

So I'll choose love.

If I can still masturbate I don't see the ultimatum here.

Marriage... that has neither.
Nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh!

No in all seriousness: Sex. I've never experienced love, so I wouldn't know what I'm missing.

Of course they aren't. It's a completely fictional scenario. One would never exclude the other unless you weren't able to feel. We're not talking realism here, just a choice between what you believe to be right.

I'd pick true love over sex. Although, since I've experienced neither, I'm not really qualified to answer.

First of, great avatar.

Secondly, sex. You can expect horrible sex from time to time. You never expect to get stabbed in the back by someone you love.

I'll take sex every time

Sex without love is just a fun way to spend an afternoon. Its like masturbation except you feel some pride afterwards.
Love without sex is all well and good, but I couldn't help but shake the feeling that I would be missing out on a massive aspect of the relationship. There is nothing more intimate that you can share with someone than your own body.
I have love without sex all the time already, with my family and friends. To love a girl without any sexual element would just be having a really good female friend.

For that reason, I would choose sex.

Sex, not because it's that great, but it'd be a snazzy way of avoiding those annoyingly intoxicating emotions that love forces you to feel.

After having been engaged to someone for two years and having the relationship face an abrupt and sudden end, I never want to love anyone again.

Love; TRUE love; Is not at all worth it. Many people in relationships just enjoy the company and warm fuzzy feelings, but you can lose someone you love at any time. It's just not worth it.
