I'm straight, a little bicurious. Although my bicuriousness in the last month and a half seems to point out I'm a lesbian.

I'm a Lesbian, in a man's body. (I know, not that good of a joke. Please don't hurt me!)

But yeah straight with an open mind. Never "experimented" or anything, and recently I've realized that I'm really just not interested in the male form. Doesn't really do anything for me.

Although I'm kind of getting tired with all the labels like "Heterosexual", "Homosexual", "Bisexual", "Asexual", "Ominsexual", blah blah blah. Its too limiting, the way I see it. I mean what about different fetishes and stuff? I'd imagine that people with the same fetishes would be closer sexually than those in the same orientation. I mean I'm straight (for the most part), but I can be aroused by non-humans (not animals, sentient beings) and futanari (or whatever the hell a dickgirl's called, hermaphrodite?). The sexual orientations don't really take into account these fetishes.

I'm not terribly well versed on the nuances (I still think there isn't a difference between omni and pan), but there's a subtle implication in pansexuality that it's that you don't care what junk there is, you're attracted to personalities/other stuff gender can't mutate. Bi implies you qualitatively make a difference. Of course, this then changes once you isolate each term from the other. That's just how I've understood the difference anyhow.

I know the sample size isn't very big yet and I know some of you are substituting pan for bi, but geez! 8 bi-males? I don't think I've ever (knowingly) seen that many in one place before, Pride Parade notwithstanding. Who'd a thought that we were so common in the video game circuit? (Of course, attracting a generally young crowd, those likely to view the forums are likely to care about what comes out and so would generally be more liberally minded, so there is that going for it... but still)
I've noticed that folk of one orientation tend to converge without thinking about it. I remember being in a car with 5 friends one time, very drunk except for the driver, and converstation turned to why a gay guys tend to do 'the voice' (the Aussie mimicing a 'New York cliched gay guy' voice) for a year or two before returning to their normal voice, and then bringing out 'the voice' when joking around. Someone suggested that it might be to help them meet other gay guys. In our drunken haze it seemed plausible. Until we realised that all 5 of us in the car were bi, and we were on our way to pick up a bi girl on the way to have some drinks (pubs were shut early - midweek drinking and it's Perth) at a 7th person's, also bi, house. No 'silly voices' involved.

We just tend to somehow congregate, have no idea why. But 8 in a place of congregation isn't at all add.

I have no idea what I am.

Always playing the 'good boy' has not given me any time to 'experiment' so I find myself kind of.... sitting. Looking through the window so to speak. I know that the idea of making a lover happy is a goal that I have, eventually, but alas, due to lack of any attempts to capitalize on this except a few failed excursions into the dating scene sadly leaves me as 'undefined'.

But hey, nothing wrong with that :3

I feel for you. I can't think of a way of saying that without it being wanky and sounding either retarded or sarcastic. But I do. The shit I went through must be nothing compared to what you've dealt with. I really really hope you manage to afford to the op one day, and that things go better from there. Or if you're not taking the op route, that you find someone who understands you and can be happy together with you.

In all sincereness, good luck.

Uncertain is hard to explain, but if it applies to you then you'll know it. Same with folks who are Asexual. If you ARE asexual - with no, or almost no, interest in sex you aren't alone. Don't feel like there's something wrong with you - there isn't. Some girls can become 'asexual' through trauma, and there are certain psychological and medical conditions that make sex so painful for a girl that she psychologically loses interest in it. I'd exclude people in that situation (the pain, not the trauma - there's nothing wrong with you for becoming asexual under those circumstances). Just keep in mind that when you get older you'll realise that there are lots of people like you, and you don't need to fake interest in sex to have a fulfilling life. In fact DON'T fake interest in sex - if you're asexual the most cruel thing you could do to yourself and a loved one is to pretend you are interested in sex for the sake of a relationship. Sooner or later he or she (there's plenty of male asexuals) will see through it and be utterly shattered. Just be honest, friendships don't have to become sexual relationships to be close and emotionally meaningful - and you can have plenty of those during your life.
First of all, excellent work including asexuality. Secondly, as someone's already mentioned, Pansexuality is where you need to go now.

But back the former, that being what I am. I'd like to address this sentence; "Some girls can become 'asexual' through trauma, and there are certain psychological and medical conditions that make sex so painful for a girl that she psychologically loses interest in it."

1. It's not females only.
2. It's not true in the first place. These people are NOT asexual. Coming from someone who does pay attention to media portrayals, I know how vilified the word "repressed" is in the community, but that is genuinly what is happening here. You can't be made asexual any more than you can be made gay. The real problem arises when someone IS asexual and has ALSO been abused. That's why I wouldn't try to judge anyone based on if they've been abused or not. In fact, it's generally not a good idea to tell someone what their sexuality is ever.

Also, as someone else mentioned, the term nonsexual is genreally interchangable with asexual. HOWEVER, asexual IS the actual term. Sexual orientations are named in greek, and in greek the prefix for "no" is a-.

sexuality is your own business, so long as nobody is in my face about it, i don't really care. it doesn't make you a different person in my mind.

i'm comfortable with my sexuality, but i know where the line is, and i don't cross it xD

I guess I need to "congregate" more.

I like how you excluded the option for straight people. They exist too, y'know, and I'm feeling very unwelcome in this thread.

I'm as straight as an arrow. No experimentation for me, since I find the male human form to be hideous.

I think bisexual women get just as much grief as bisexual men, especially from the gay community. There are plenty of times I've heard lesbian friends say, "I'd never date a woman who identifies as bi. She's just in it for the attention." While this may be true of college girls experiments (the term LUG was invented for a reason, after all), there are plenty of legitimately bi women out there who find themselves stereotyped by both straights and gays. And while bi women might not have to face the disgust that some bi men get, instead there are usually a bunch of inappropriate requests for "documentation," shall we say. It gets to the point where many bi women identify as lesbian with their gay friends and when in a gay relationship, and straight with straight friends or in a heterosexual relationship.

And to the OP, I've personally dated bi guys before. There are women out there who won't freak when they learn your past. Too bad we don't wear signs, eh?

that would also pretty much sum up me...

Straight male, but open to experimentation, I guess. Or bi, but lacking half the experience, might be more accurate. Still, OP's verbose opening classes that as straight, so I'll run with it.

I understand the difference, but it seems to me a little redundant having a whole other group of people placed into one sexuality for something that seems to only diverge from bisexuality in that it accommodates those that are transgender.
But even the Wiki description goes beyond that. And why not have a marked distinction for people beyond the gender binary?

I suppose it's moot, as this poll angers me, anyway. I'm not sure why I'm any more "bi" now (I really do consider myself pansexual, because it's never been about gender for me) than I was when I was twelve and merely wanted to do "both" sexes. I hate the notion that heterosexuals never have to "prove" themselves, but homosexuals and bisexuals do. Even with the definitions in that first post, it's coming off very similar. Hell, straights are even allowed to fool around and still be straight. Jeez.

Seems only women can excite me, however I have no existent sexual drive. Basically, if a woman makes a move and sends out clear signals, I'm not one to turn her down. However if you're waiting on me, the pull up a chair and pop some popcorn, because it'll be a while.

This might just be my idiocy speaking, but I still fail to see any drastic differences between bisexuality and omni/pansexuality. Any chance you fine fellows could elaborate?
As the Wikipedia page says about omni/pansexuality:
Pansexuality (also referred to as omnisexuality) is a sexual orientation, characterized by the potential for aesthetic attraction, romantic love, or sexual desire towards people, regardless of their gender identity or biological sex. Some pansexuals suggest that they are gender-blind; that gender and sex are insignificant or irrelevant in determining whether they will be sexually attracted to others. For others, an individual?s sex, gender expression, or gender identity can be a key factor of attraction, despite the pansexual individual?s wide range of sex and gender attractions. As defined in the Oxford English Dictionary, pansexuality "encompasses all kinds of sexuality; not limited or inhibited in sexual choice with regards to gender or practice."
And compared with bisexuality:
Bisexuality is often described as attraction to both men and women. Pansexuality has been described as a "means to skip the binaries and essentialism of 'bi'."

Some people assert that bisexuality means attraction "regardless of gender", or "more than one gender". These definitions match the definitions of pansexuality and polysexuality, respectively.

Homo- means same, hetero- means other, bi- means two, and pan- means all. -Sexual means sexual attraction. Therefore, homosexual means same (gender) sexual attraction, heterosexual means other (gender) sexual attraction, bisexual means two (gender) sexual attraction and pansexual means all (gender) sexual attraction.
Basically, bisexual means only attracted to males and females, while pansexual means attracted to males, females, transsexuals and so on.
So Pan would be the sexuality resulting from reading to much Vonnegut then? :)

I wouldn't know. Never read Vonnegut. Don't even know what it is.
