So it is not final, but damn he/she/it looks like a man.The International Association of Athletics Federations, which ordered the testing, refused to confirm or deny the reports in the Sydney Daily Telegraph and the Sydney Morning Herald that Semenya is a hermaphrodite with no ovaries and internal testes that produce large amounts of testosterone.
The IAAF said it is reviewing the test results on the 18-year-old runner and will not issue a final decision until November.

Your poll doesn't have enough answers. I picked the 'whomever' option because there were none else. Honestly, it's something that they would have to assess. Depending on which her body is structured like, or what she wants to be known as, they will make their choice from thus.Donbett1974 said:It was just found out that South African runner Caster Semenya is a hermaphrodite. She has both ovaries and testes. So do you think she should be allow compete and if so with whom.
there's a genetic disorder which completely deactivates the Y chromosome, causing the embryo to develop as a perfectly normal female. short of genetic testing, they're completely indistinguishable from XX women.Lord Honk said:i'd say go with the genetic definition of a woman, i.e. two X chroms.
If he/she has a Y chrom, he's genetically a man and not allowed to compete in an all-woman contest.
It's a lot of controversy, but he/she'll always be something between a man and a woman, this is strictly about wether or not he/she's allowed to compete.
that's wonderfully irrelevant, thank you. but since people have told me i sit like a girl, i guess i'll just shave and go see if i can set some world records!Sulu said:Boys before puberty are regarded as male so the runner should be as well. He even sits down like a man!
That's quite alright.Kukul said:Sry, I didn't want to be mean. "That person" is the phrase I was looking for.Rolling Thunder said:'It'? Now your just being an dupek, Polish.Kukul said:Call me old fashioned, but if you've got balls, you're not a woman. Period.
Maybe it should compete with hermaprodites.
