I'm bored and just wanted to ask a random question. Do you prefer shoes with laces , velcro , zips ,buckles or nohing?

Personally i hate laces. They break, get undone, take time to tie, get wet and nasty . I have completly stopped buying ahoes with paces. I don't mind zips but if i can i'll go with shoes with nothing. Just got to put my foot in my shoe and i'm good to go. Velcro on the other hand seems too childish for me, plus if they get dirty they just stop working properly altogether.

I don't really mind, to be honest. If my laces come undone I just double-knot them.

My main pair of trainers are pre-tied so I can just slide my feet in and out.

I have some slip ons, and 1 pair with buckles. Also 1 pair of boots that are zips. Otherwise it's mostly laces.

It depends on the shoe but never Velcro.

At the moment, I'm wearing brogues which have laces but I frequently wear ballet pumps which have nothing or ankle boots which can have buckles or zips. Most of my heels have buckles because I feel more secure with something strapping me in!

I could talk about this for ages but, basically, it depends on the shoe.

Majority of the shoes I have are those with laces which I like a lot. Plus I find them more comfortable and secure.

But I do have some shoes with with nothing, buckles and Velcro too but I prefer laces.

I have slip-on shoes and flip flops. Or at least those are the kinds of footwear I wear the most.

I am a very lazy person.

I used to love velcro but past Grade 3 it became an unspoken fashion statement of "I am not smart enough to tie my shoes".

So lace it is.

Well, after you get past being about 10, unless you go for laces or shoes with no way of fastening, you don't have that many options at all. But as someone who constantly thinks that shoes without some way of fastening them will fall off, my only option realistically is shoes with laces.

If there was more of a choice, I would probably go for velcro because I am lazy and they are so easy to fasten, but, well, it still isn't a realistic option for someone with size 11 feet.

Laces sine I was pretty much got force to accept laces when I got older (apprently velcro is still a no no even as a adult)!

Yes I know there are still velcro adult shoes but I have since look back on those!

Generally lazy person, so i prefer nothing over laces, but I pretty much treat them the same. I'm not a very active person, so i've never really needed to worry about fastening, in fact I find shoes being fastened tightly to be annoying. If i have laces, I tie them once so that they are easily wearable/removable without having to re-tie them, only having to redo the knots maybe once/twice a month.

I mostly buy sneakers and shoes that could be mistaken for sneakers but honestly, I would gladly trade away shoe-laces for velcro, provided it was really reliable. It just seems like such an easier option...I don't mind lace-tying but I'll generally just tie my shoes once and, spend the rest of their life slipping them on and off of my feet. Thinking about it, velcro may slow down that process...so laces I guess...good thing I haven't voted.

When it comes to looks; boots with straps/buckles are my favorite. The huge goth boots that also incorporate zippers with the belts and straps are my favorite. I wonder how much it would cost to commission Square Enix to make me some goth-boots...?

I prefer shows with heels... Oh wait, you didn't mean that kind of question...

Anywho, I can wear any kind of shoes, even though I seem to go more towards those with either laces or Velcro because I seem to only buy shoes out of practicality than anything else... Other than that, so far, zip and buckles never did seem to click with me and whenever I think of "nothing", in relation to shoes, I think of those water shoes you can wear at the pool or at the beach...

I have a pair of school shoes, runners, and thongs. The school schools don't give enough support though, and I rolled my ankle last week.

I'll answer for my dad first: He has a deformed right hand, it's because the umbilical cord wrapped his hand when he was in the womb. As a result his right hand just has one big inflexible finger on it and no thumb. So he prefers Velcro fastening just due to it's ease for him.

As for me... I like side zip boots the most, even when they have laces. That way I only have to draw the laces to the correct tightness once. But I have shoes with virtually all fastenings and in essentially all styles. I just go for lace up with side zip high heel boots most because they work so well with my favourite lolita style dresses.

Obviously, I want the Back to the Future self-lacing shoes, right along with the self-cleaning clothes and (of course) the hoverboard.

I heard those self lacing shoes actually exist. And only 100 of them were made.

They're just prop inspired they don't actually self lace from what I understand.

Non-believer! I curse you with sandals and flip-flops! Begone from my store, for it is written "No shoes, no service!".

Until those auto lacing shoes from Back to the Future happen, slip ons. Easy on, easy off. Even with laces, I keep enough slack to slide them on, and off.
I did have a wonderful pair of boots that zipped up te side though. Wore out, those did.
